Darkness, I'm in complete darkness except for one thing, a pair of eyes stare at me, not creepily but with love and sincerity, I believe they may be my soulmates.
Everyone was born with a small heart on their wrist, and once they came in contact with their soulmate, it would turn purple and they would become bonded.
Once you do become bonded with a soulmate, there are a lot of commitments you have to make. When the heart turns purple, it always needs attention from its other soulmate. If it doesn't get the attention it wants, it can cause damage to your body. You could become sick or it can get worse and start spraining or breaking bones. The heart needs skin-ship. Handholding, pecking, cuddling, kissing, it needs it to survive, you need it to survive.
Some people find their soulmate and others don't. You can still never find your soulmate and live a normal life, but most people want to find the one that will love them, the one that they will be with forever. Usually, you find your soulmate after 18, but there have been rare occasions where people under 16 will find their soulmate.
It's a very exciting thing for most people, but it can also be a nightmare for others. I don't know if I'm ready to find my soulmate yet, I am going on 19 but I have been living my life perfectly fine
I feel something nudging my side, once, twice. I try to ignore it, but it persists. I open my eyes to a steel floor and people sitting and standing around.
Then I realize I am on the train on my way to work. But if I was on the train, what was poking my shoulder?
I turn my head and meet a pair of chocolate brown eyes. The type of chocolate that is bitter but just sweet enough to be addicting. Those are the chocolate eyes I'm lost in and stare at for a moment before realizing I was leaning on this man's shoulder.
I try to scooch away, but someone is on the other side of me stopping me from moving. I bow my head and rush to explain myself. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you. I had a late night I- sorry, you don't want to hear that." I lower my head and fidget with my hands.
The mystery man taps my shoulder "No, please go on," He suddenly looks down "That is if you want to, I've been bored out of my mind this entire train ride. But wondering what caused your exhaustion has piqued my interest"
There's a certain softness to his voice, "Well, last night I couldn't get an image from my head," I softly speak towards the man, his eyes meet mine once more "a pair of eyes, I assume my soulmates. I'm some sort of an artist so all I could do was draw them and I drew, and drew, and drew. I eventually drew some sort of face but by the time I was finished, it was around 3am. But I still couldn't fall asleep because anxiety started to eat at me because I'm starting a new job today and I want to make a good impression but I don't know being tired definitely won't be a great impression... So I'm sorry for falling asleep on your shoulder... sir?"
"Chris, many call me Chan. You can call me either...?" He fills in with his name, is he a foreigner? "Devon, my name is Seo Devon. Are you perhaps a foreigner? Sorry to ask but Chris isn't the most Korean name.." My voice softens as I continue to speak
His eyes seem to sparkle after hearing my name "Yeah, I was born in Australia but I've been here for a while now"
I freak
"Australia! Are you still fluent in English? I'm originally from America and I don't have many English friends" I exclaim
All of the sudden the train doors open and I realize It's my stop although I hate to leave as soon as we started to get along. I turn to Chris, "I'm sorry its my stop I need to go. It was nice talking to you and I hope to run into you again" I bow and start to make way towards the doors
"It was nice meeting you too, I hope to see you too." He replied just as I walked away smiling.
