Sollux woke with a sore neck and a screaming headache. Everything hurt at the moment, and even blinking caused pain. What the hell had happened? He had absolutely no idea where he was or how he'd gotten there; the only thing he could see at the moment was the night sky and dust flying around. Dust had settled on his face, his chest, his legs, in his hair. Before any other thoughts could come to his foggy mind, he finally registered that there was an odd, but familiar sweet taste in his mouth. A sticky substance dripped down his chin as he sat up and wiped it away.
Mind honey.
Oh no.
Oh dear god no.
No nononoNO.
The words repeated themselves in his now wide awake and coherent mind. He'd eaten the mind honey. Sollux shuddered at the thought of what kind of damage he might've done; mind honey was a very powerful substance, even more powerful than sopor. He couldn't remember much of the last time he'd gone and ingested mind honey, but he remembered enough to know that it had resulted in the deaths of many trolls and lusii. After the horrifying ordeal, Sollux had vowed to never let mind honey near his mouth ever again.
Yet here he was, sitting amongst rubble and dust. The only thing in sight other than rubble was the base of a hive. It looked pretty bad, so Sollux had immediately assumed that it was either abandoned, or nobody had lived there from the start. Either way, he felt relief make its way through his chest.
"Thank god nobody lived here... if they had, things could've gone a hell of a lot worse."
The mustard blood stood carefully and brushed some of the dust from the front and back of his grey jeans. He found his glasses near where he'd woken up and picked them up off the ground. They were a bit messed up, but it wasn't unfixable. The blue lense was ever so slightly cracked and one of the legs was bent at an odd angle.
With another sweeping glance around the deserted area, Sollux lifted himself into the air and made his way back to his hive.
Had he looked back though, he would've noticed the small amount of remains of a rust blooded lusus with ram horns, and a burnt explorer's hat in the lawnring.
