Elliot POV
"So you like to draw?"
"Yeah, I think it's a great pass time"
Charlie was making the beds again when he knocked my sketchbook off trying to fix the blankets. He picked it up and handed it back to me. He didn't open it, but I guess he could tell what it was. It was my pocket sketchbook that I carried with me sometimes. I didn't take it with me yesterday, but I figured I would have it today if we went back to the clubhouse. That's why it was sitting on my bed.
"You think you could teach me? It looks fun, but every time I've tried it turns out like shit" he says. I smile.
"I can give you some pointers if you'd like"
"Awesome, thanks man, but uh I would put that away for now. Mr. Tritt might just take it for spite. He tends to do that sometimes"
I nod and place my sketchbook under some of my clothes inside the chest at my bed. I don't see a reason why he would take a sketchbook, but I do believe Charlie. Also, Mr. Tritt just seems like the type to want to do that. Make people miserable I mean. Not steal books. Mr. Tritt already came in this morning yelling like yesterday. I guess it will be a daily occurrence. We're basically doing what we did yesterday even though it's not really necessary. I helped Charlie with the beds now since I already finished sweeping. Again.
"If you draw do you think you could ever draw me? Not to brag, but I've got the build of a Greek god. I might even let you see me naked for free if you do" Braxton stated, with a sly smile on his face.
"The only build you have is the build of a door, flat ass" Tyler shot. Braxton gave an over-the-top shocked reaction before lifting his mop and flinging some of the water at Tyler who laughed and then threw the rag in his hand right back at Braxton's face. It made a wet slap at contact which had Tyler snort laughing. Axel rolled his eyes at the display in front of us.
"Yep, this is the stuff we have to deal with those two," he said.
"He guys, do you think we should uhm you know, not slack off Mr. Tritt might-" I started to speak, but was cut off by the slam of the door. We all looked back and saw him standing there. Well, speak of the devil. Everything is relatively done so maybe he'll cut us some slack.
"Mr. Tritt might what? Huh boy, got anything to say?" He began approaching me and stopped when he was only a foot away. He was tall, but not any taller than Axel or Evan. Still a sizable difference for me though.
"I was uhm, I was just saying that uh" god why do I have to trip up now?
"Come on spit out now. You had something to say before" I took a deep breath.
"I was just going to say that we shouldn't goof off because you might be on your way. We were finishing up on cleaning is all" I finally got out. I looked over and saw Evan who had just now entered the room. I gave him a worried look. He was in the bathroom before cleaning so I guess he finally heard Mr. Tritt's arrival. He glanced between the both of us confused.
"Sure, that's what you had to say. Let me ask you this, you're new here, aren't you? First year at camp, huh? Already disrespecting me on your second day too. I really don't think you want to test me. I know why you're here, I can make this all a whole lot worse for you. Why don't I-" Evan finally stepped in and put a hand on Mr. Tritt's shoulder. He pulled him back a bit, but not forcefully.
"Hey, I'm sure it's all just a misunderstanding. We were just finishing up and we goofed off a bit. No big deal. So why don't you do your little check or whatever and then leave us alone for the rest of the day" Evan smiled at him, but not exactly a friendly one. He received a glare in return and shrugged his hand off his shoulder. Mr. Tritt clicked his tongue before glancing around the room a bit. He nodded and walked to the door.
