Chapter 9

Chapter 9: Angelica

Y/n- "Angelica!" You give her a hug and let her inside.

Angelica- "Hey Y/n! I've missed you." She gives you another hug (btw Angelica is your best friend).

Y/n- "I've missed you too. How was South Carolina?" Angela spent the summer visiting family in South Carolina.

Angela- "It was great, kinda humid. But fun." You both go into the kitchen and you continue cooking dinner. Angelica starts helping you.

Y/n- "Angelica you don't have to help. I can make this on my own." Angelica continues chopping vegetables.

Angelica- "I know you can. But I want to help. School is starting in a few days then we'll only get to see each other for a few hours a day." (They don't go to the same school as you got expelled.)

Your smile fades as you realize won't be able to see her.

Y/n- "Yeah about that."

You struggle to find the words. Angelica notices that you look and sound sad. She stops what she's doing and comes over.

Angelica- "What's wrong?" She sounds concerned.

Y/n- "I'm going to a boarding school this year. So I will only be able to see you on Christmas break and summer."

Now they both look sad.

Angelica- "Oh. That's okay. we can still write to each other." She looks at you with a slight smile but you know it's fake.

Y/n-"Yeah, but hey let's not get too upset. We'll make the most of the time we have left before I leave." She looks at you.

Angelica- "When do you leave?" You look at the ground.

Y/n- "After tomorrow. She hugs you."

Angelica- "Maybe I can sleep over tonight? That way we can have one last sleep over before you go off to that boarding school. What's the place called anyway?"

You remember your dad telling you that if anyone asks you can say you're going to Wayward Youth(His old school.)

Y/n- "That's a great idea! And I think the schools called Wayward Youth or something like that. We'll ask our parents after dinner."

Angelica- "Okay." She smiles. You guys finish dinner just 2 minutes before your father gets home.

Dad- "I'm home!" He shouts from the hallway.

Y/n- "In the kitchen!" You shout back. Angelica smiled, you smiled back. Your father comes into the kitchen and sees Angelica.

Dad- "Ah hello Angelica. Good to see you. He gives her a side hug.

Angelica- "Good to see you too Mr. Darkwood."

You and Angelica both look at each other communicating with facial expressions.

Y/n- *Facial expression* Should I ask him now?

Angelica- *Facial expression* I don't know, maybe we should wait until he starts eating dinner.

Y/n- *Facial expression* Okay.

Y/n- "Oh erm dad, we made dinner."

Dad- "Thank you sweetheart." He comes over and kisses your forehead. He turns to look at Angelica. "And thank you for helping, Angelica."

Angelica- "You're welcome."

Once you all sit down, you start communicating with facial expressions again.

Angelica- *Facial expression* Now?

Y/n- *Facial expression* Now.

Y/n- "Hey erm dad?" He looks up.

Dad- "What is it honey?" You glance at Angelica.

Dad- "Okay, what do you two want?"

He leans back in his chair and looks at the both of you.

Y/n- "Why do you think we want something?" He raises one eyebrow.

Dad- "I know that look. What do you two want?" You sigh.

Y/n- "Well, we were wondering since I'm going to boarding school this year and we won't be able to see each other except for Christmas break and summer, if maybe, Angelica could sleep over tonight?" He thinks about it for a little while, finally he answers.

Dad- "I don't see why not. As long as your parents are okay with it. Looks at Angelica.

Angelica- "Really? Yes! I'll go ask them right now." Angela gets up and leaves, suddenly you get nervous and you start to panic.

Your dad can see somethings wrong.

Dad- "What's wrong?" He asks, you look up at him.

Y/n- "All the things I got at Diagon Alley, my wizarding books, my owl, my wand, everything, it's all in my room.
