The next morning she woke up with a new hope. Finally the functions started. Today was the day of mehendi. She couldn't control the excitement. She went and stood in front of the mirror. Slightly blushing and smiling.
"Pallu aaj mehendi hai teri, jisse tujhe do saal dur rakha gaya wo aaj official tere liye kiya ja raha hai. Inn do saalo may, na maine kabhi mere hatho ko mehendi lagayi aur na kabhi mai kissi ke shaddi mai gayi. Par last time Maine mehendi tabh lagayi thi tab raghav aur maine photo shoot Kiya tha. Chal ab jaldi se tayyar ho ja, it's gonna be an adventurous ride." She smiled and with confidence and happiness she went to get ready.
When she came down everyone was busy with some or the other work. Someone was setting up a banana stem at the door, some people were in the kitchen making breakfast. Some were decorating the house with flowers and garland.
"Ab lag raha hai na shaddi ka ghar." Nikhil came and placed an arm on her shoulder.
"Ha bilkul! Ab aisa alag sa excitement aa raha hai." Manasi said.
"Ye lo baccho garam garam nashta." Aai and Bada bindi came with the plates.
"Tayyari Zoro shoro se chal rahi hai, hum andar aaye?" Her dada, vahini and atharva were standing at the door with their luggage.
"Arre dada!!" She went and hugged him. She greeted them and invited them inside.
"Siddesh, kitni deer, tere behan ki shaddi hai tujhe toh ek mahine pehle hi aana chahiye tha." Baba said and sat beside him to chat.
"Sulochana jara chai ka dekhna."
"Ji aabhi layi." Kaku went inside and aai came out to talk with them.
"Mai tabh Tak Pani lati hu." Amruta said.
"Aapne mujhe bataya kyu nahi aap aaj aane wale hai?" She asked.
"Arre humhe time hi nahi Mila, aur isne kaha ke pallu ko surprise dete hai." He said pointing her bhabhi. She smiled at pallavi.
"Aatu Teri shaddi hai?" Atharva asked.
"Ha, tujhe nahi pata. Arre re!" Nikhil teased him.
"Matlab sach mai? Lagna?" He asked innocently in his cute voice. Everyone laughed.
"Ha, lagna. Tum ussi ke liye toh yaha aaye ho." She cupped his face and kissed his cheek.
"Aao mai tumhe ghumata hu. Tum plane se aaye na?" Nikhil asked, and picked him up.
"Ha aise hawa Mai udd kar, zuuuu. Bohot maza aata." He made plane of his hand and explained to nikhil.
"Aaram se, kyu utha rahe ho usse. Wo chalega." His mother said as nikhil was lifting him up.
"Arre uthane do, itne Dole shole banaye hai kiss kaam ke." Kaka said and they giggled.
"Ha mai gym isse uthane hi toh jata hu." He joked and started tickling atharva. He then took him to show their house.
"Arre mamaji!" Her dada went and touched his feet as mama came out of his room.
"Aap kab aaye siddesh ji."
"Aabhi, baki aap kaise hai?"
"Bohot acche! accha hua aap aage. Mai Sharda ko yahi puch raha tha ke pallavi ka dada nahi aaya abhi Tak."
"Ji hum dono working hai na toh chutti nahi thi. Aur Aap kab aaye?"
"Hum parso, mai iski mami aur narmada." He said referring to his wife and younger sister.
"Namaste." They greeted each other. Just then amruta and kaku came with tea and snacks.
"Siddesh ye kha ke pehle phir tum Jake fresh ho jana." Aai said.
