Galvana...
The void is all around her. It is all she can see, all she can feel, all she can smell and taste (does the void have a taste? Tastes like nothing at all.) and hear. The voices whisper her name over and over.
Has she failed? She gave Pickle instructions, and now she can only hope for the best. This time, it's not just her life, but the lives of every monster in the entire world. And perhaps, if the rumors are true, it could mean the mass extinction of other universes.
Zyphur probably wasn't that powerful though, no matter what they said. Or at least, that's what Galvana hoped.
Her thoughts are torn from her as she notices her orb pulsing. Somehow, she still had her staff after all these years, although it's not much use. Blue light begins to shine from within her chest, and her mind is warped beyond recognition.
Where am I?
She looks down. She looks left, and right, and all around her. Her proportions have shrunk, not that she knows. She knows nothing, and everything, but it's buried in her mind. She used to know the secrets of the universe and now she can't remember her own name.
There's so much dust. It's all over her, and she brushes it off with the wobbly coordination of a young monster. Every indicator that she was fully grown once is nearly gone. Her eyes are bigger, her horns are smaller and duller, and the orange mess that she called hair was smaller and more tamed.
The baby celestial spotted something, or someone, within the cloud of dust around her. A green, scaled leg. She gave it a tug, and the owner responded quickly. "What happened?" She couldn't really understand his words.
"What did you do?" Another voice, higher and lighter. "I don't know! I touched the statue and now Galvana's a child!" She hugged onto the original voice's leg, cooing adorably. Pickle. His name is Pickle. Somehow she was able to remember his name but not her own.
Suddenly, she was being lifted up by another monster, not one of the first two, but one whose body was made of rocks. Her arms radiated natural heat, and all Galvana could do was stare up at her.
"Aww, she's pretty cute. Here, you hold her." She was passed back to Pickle again, but he wasn't keen on holding her. "I don't know how to handle kids! She'll be safer with you." But she ended up in his arms anyways.
"You're her element. She'll be safest with you." She's able to look at the higher voiced monster, with mostly purple feathers and a kind but stern expression.
"I don't know what went wrong, Galvana can't help us like this." That's my name. I need to help. She struggled in his arms, and Pickle set her on the ground. After a few seconds of looking around, she spotted what she was looking for: her orb.
It was too heavy for her to hold, and too smooth for her to get a good grip on, so she started to bawl for someone to assist her. Pickle ran over, like a good parent would, and gently took it from her. Once it was in his hands, she took off.
"Galvana! Wait!" A normal toddler wouldn't listen, so the leader of the celestials as one? No way. She clambered inside a ship, the one Pickle and his friends had used. Stick, stick, stick! Unfortunately, it was once again too heavy, and she started crying again, leaving Pickle to help her out.
He picked up the stick, and she spouted gibberish instructions that even she didn't understand. Another flash of light made her cover her eyes and turn her head, but when she opened them again, she was greeted with an amazing sight.
Her staff was in Pickle's hands, the orb glowing with untold power. Both of them stared in awe at it, this was surely the most powerful weapon in the monster world!
"You've done a great job, I'm proud of you." Pickle said, patting her on the head. She did it, she completed her part of the mission. But a falling monster distracted her. A dying wublin, who had completed a mission of his own. Galvana placed a hand on his body, transforming him into energy and light as she whispered unknown words that no one could really hear.
The energy disappeared into the staff, where Whirz could fight by Pickle's side still.
Pickle walked into the skyship and took off, leaving her with these monsters she had yet to meet properly, but she knew she was in good hands.
Good luck, Pickle.
