Luke's POV:

I watched her drive away. Frankie approached me slowly, having a 'what the fuck happened' look on his face.

''What the fuck happened, man? Why was Liv here?'' He raises his eyebrows as he walks up to the front door.

I rub my eyes and hold my hand out, pointing at Olivia's car in the distance, ''She- came over for money and..we- fought.''

''Money? Why the hell are you here giving out money?''

''I bumped into her in town and shattered her phone.''

''..Right. Well why'd she look so worked up?'' He questioned. I was struggling with excuses to use.

''We just- fought. That's it.''

Olivia's POV:

I can't breathe. What the hell did I just do? I insinuated it! It didn't happen. I'm gonna pretend like it didn't happen. My sister really likes him. I can't feel any sort of way about him.

I drive down the road, driving by a small park. In the spur of the moment, I decide to park the car on the curb of a path and get out. It so happens to be the park I used to come to as a child with my mom.

We'd sit on the bench right in front of the lake and watch the ducks while we eat our strawberry ice cream. We'd talk for hours and dumb stuff. Ranging from Our funny, dumb family day outs to cats with wings.

I walked to the same bench and sat down on it. I always sat on the right side, so that's where I sat. I watched the lake, there was no ducks and no strawberry ice cream. And no mom.

I tapped my leg up and down anxiously and shut my eyes, listening to the sound of the small waves in the water. I grip onto the bottom edge of the bench with my hands.

I should text Mia. Or Frankie. I don't know what to do or who to tell. I feel so alone.

I open my eyes and stare out at the water. My phone vibrates. I pull it out slowly. It's Mia. She's telling me how Luke had asked her out on a date. I stared at my phone, feeling my heart beat out of my chest.

I type back, ''that's great, have fun''.

I put my phone back down and lean back, groaning loudly as I hit my head gently. 'I HATE YOU!!' , I mumble to myself in my head.

''I'm gonna go to a bar.'' I speak to myself. I stand up and pat my legs. I grab my phone and walk back through the park to get to my car.

I get to the small warmly lit bar. I look around, I hear Cassie singing. Cassie Salazar, one of both mine and Frankie's friend. She had been his baby sitter when he was younger. Maybe she could cheer me up. Or alcohol could.

I sit by the corner of the band, I ask the bartender for a Vodka Coke and then turn around to face the small stage so I can see Cassie. She spots me and smiles as she sings. I wave and smile back at her as I reach behind me and grab my glass and sip it.

Billy, her boss, had yelled at her to stop playing and get back to work. She yelled back, '' Oh, come on Billy! We light the crowd up!''

She laughs and walks to me and opens her arms to hug me. I put my drink down and hop off the seat and stand up, wrapping my arms around her.
