Hi, I'm Amelia, and today was my first day of high school. You know how people say "first day is the worst day"? Well today was indeed the ̶̶̶̶w̶̶̶̶o̶̶̶̶r̶̶̶̶s̶̶̶t̶ ̶̶̶b̶̶̶e̶̶̶s̶̶̶t day. It wasn't actually the worst, not the best either, though, so I'll just call it the day ever. Anyway, let's get into it. So, when I got to school, I realized that I didn't pick up my lunchbox, and today there was...𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐄. I didn't eat breakfast, either, so I was hungry for all my classes, but in 5th period, I felt weirdly lightheaded, after that, everything went black.I woke up leaning on a tree, bleeding out from my shoulder, with a random person sitting next to me. " 𝕆𝕙 𝕪𝕒𝕪! 𝕐𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕜𝕖!" I didn't know the person, and I still felt a little light headed, so I didn't respond. "ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠? 𝔸𝕟𝕪𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕙𝕠𝕞𝕖?" I didn't want to respond, but they seemed concerned, so I felt like I had to. "Yes, I'm home. I'm just not responding because 𝘐 𝘋𝘖𝘕'𝘛 𝘒𝘕𝘖𝘞 𝘠𝘖𝘜!!!!"
"𝕆𝕙." I felt bad after that. "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell, I'm just a bit on edge." "𝕆𝕙 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕙, 𝕤𝕠𝕣𝕣𝕪 𝕚𝕗 𝕀 𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝 𝕓𝕒𝕕, 𝕚𝕥'𝕤 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕦𝕤𝕦𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕪𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕕 𝕒𝕥." "Well, that's good, trust me, I know how you feel." I started feeling light headed again, then I remembered that I was bleeding out. "Oh yeah. Hey, is there like....a hospital nearby?" "𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥'𝕤 𝕒 𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕡𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕝?" "You know, where people get better when they're sick and/or hurt?" "𝕆𝕙𝕙𝕙𝕙...𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕞𝕖𝕒𝕟 𝕒 𝕞𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 𝕔𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣! 𝕀'𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖!" "Thanks." Next thing I knew, they were carrying me to the..medical center I guess, I didn't complain because- "𝕨𝕖'𝕣𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖!" As I was saying, before I was interrupted, I didn't complain because their arms were pretty comfortable. While I was on the bed, I got a better look at them. They were like a centaur, but with....2 legs? Short, brown hair, green eyes, somehow my exact height, and had a cake with a heart on their shirt. When I finished noticing things, I realized that there was a random piece of fabric where the blood on my shoulder was. "What the-?" "𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥? ℍ𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕗𝕒𝕓𝕣𝕚𝕔 𝕓𝕖𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕖?" "No, it's not that, it's just that the thread is glowing." "𝕆𝕙, 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥'𝕤 𝕟𝕠𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕝, 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕗𝕦𝕟𝕟𝕪, 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙, 𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕧𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖." Well, they were a little right. "𝕀 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕫𝕖𝕕! 𝕀 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕟𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕪𝕖𝕥!" "Oh right, I'm Amelia." "ℕ𝕚𝕔𝕖 𝕟𝕒𝕞𝕖! 𝕀'𝕞 ℙ𝕚𝕡𝕡𝕚𝕟!" The 2-legged centaur's name was Pippin, noted. "𝕊𝕠𝕠𝕠𝕠...." "Listen, Pippin, I know that people here probably like when you constantly talk, but I'm not really from here." "𝕆𝕙.𝕨𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥'𝕤 𝕔𝕠𝕠𝕝! 𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕣𝕠𝕞?" "Earth. Before you were creepily hovering beside me, I was in school, do you know what school is?" "𝕐𝕖𝕤..!" "Ok, what is it?" "𝔸 𝕤𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝 𝕠𝕗...𝕤𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕝𝕖𝕤..?" "A school is a place where adults teach you stuff. Where am I? Mars?" "𝕀 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕒 𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕤 𝕚𝕤, 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕀 𝔻𝕆 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕨𝕖 𝕒𝕣𝕖! 𝕎𝕖'𝕣𝕖 𝕚𝕟-" "NO! Don't answer. I don't know when you're gonna break out into song." "..............." "Ok, we're good." "𝕎𝕖 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕓𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕪 𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕥, 𝕚𝕥'𝕤 𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕕𝕒𝕣𝕜." "...you don't have a house??" "ℕ𝕠, 𝕀 𝕕𝕠, 𝕚𝕥'𝕤 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕒𝕪 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥." "Oh ok." Pippin looked behind us. "𝕃𝕖𝕥'𝕤 𝕘𝕠, 𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕜𝕝𝕪." Their high-pitched voice suddenly dropped a bit when they said that. They grabbed my arm and ran us into a house with a really tall (4 legged) centaur.
"𝙿𝚒𝚙, 𝚠𝚑𝚘 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜?" Pippin looked like they just got caught for breaking a law. "𝙹𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚔𝚒𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐! 𝙸𝚝'𝚜 𝚏𝚞𝚗𝚗𝚢, 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎!" I assumed she was talking to me, because she left Pippin in a cold sweat, slowly sneaking into the house. "𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎? 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚗!" She moved out of the way, holding the door. I hesitated, but she pushed me in after a while, looking scared. "𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐?! 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍'𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚐𝚘𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝! 𝙾𝚛 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚗! 𝙾𝚛-" "𝕆𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕖, 𝕤𝕙𝕖'𝕤 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕗𝕣𝕠𝕞 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖." "I'm really sorry, it's just that where I'm from, we don't have whatever you're scared of, or magic, and we don't just scoot into people's houses with no worries." "𝙸 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚟𝚎. "𝔾𝕌𝕐𝕊!" "𝚂𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢, 𝙿𝚒𝚙." "𝕀𝕥'𝕤 𝕠𝕜, 𝕝𝕖𝕥'𝕤 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕤𝕝𝕖𝕖𝕡, 𝕨𝕖'𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕜 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤
