"You have the Grim"
It's been a week at Hogwarts. Hermione, Ron and Harry have filled in Y/N, telling her all about their adventures in the first and second year— Nicolas Flamel, the Sorcerer's Stone, Professor Quirrell, the Chamber of Secrets, How Hermione was petrified, the basilisk, Tom Riddle's Diary, and everything else.
In all of these stories the one thing she found fascinating was, how Harry always managed to brush off death by mere inches. He never had a plan, never had backup, never had enough weapons, yet somehow he still managed to defeat you-know-who. It was as if the universe was keeping him alive for something bigger, which she knew what that was.
They even told her about the Dementor's attack on the train and how Harry passed out after seeing the Dementors, and how Professor Lupin helped them. And also, about Sirius Black, the notorious mass murderer, who was now coming to kill Harry. Y/N knew this wasn't true but she had to play along anyways.
Y/N had adapted almost perfectly to the Hogwarts environment. Everyone in the school liked her. After the incident with the sorting hat, it was as if she had become a celebrity.. Everywhere in the school, people loved talking to her and about her. 'She was famous now'. Students from other houses approached her in the corridors to try and talk to her. But all this meant, she had to fight with her social anxiety which was a little tough, but she was trying. Thankfully, she had made three new best friends whom she loved more than anything else, and they loved her too. She knew for a fact that those three were always going to be by her side, no matter what.
She had also visited her parents twice in the last week. Apparently, she was feeling a little homesick so Dumbledore allowed her to visit her Parents even on school nights, which wasn't very difficult, considering the fact that she just had to go throw a closet to reach her dimension. Dumbledore made it very easy for her to access. He even started giving her the passwords to his office, whenever he changed it. If Y/N didn't know any better, she would've thought that Dumbledore had a soft spot for her and maybe he did, for whatever unknown reasons.
She also had a new subject that she officially hated : Divinations.
The idea of staring into a tea cup or a glass ball, and predicting someone's death, sounded ridiculous to her... And then there was Professor Trelawney. Y/N thought she was definitely crazy. No offense to the Professor, but everything she used to say, felt like a load of rubbish...

"Up", Hermione came up to Y/N's bed and started yanking Y/N's arm and opening the curtains. Y/N's hand flew to cover her eyes from the light that seeped through the bright windows of Gryffindor tower. She sat up, rubbing the tiredness from her eyes and opening her mouth to take a drowsy yawn.
