-Chapter 1-

~Lucy's POV ~
I woke up to someone shouting my name "LUCY!!" At first I didn't recognize who it was & then I realized it was Calum, my best friend.

Calum & I have been best friends since grade 3, he helped me through a lot, he was there for me when my dad left us one night without any explanation, & I always thought it was my fault because he would always tell me I was a horrible daughter, & mum was never home so I couldn't talk to her, she didn't care.

Anyways, it was Saturday & I nearly forgot I promised Calum we'd go to the mall since we haven't hung out since he left to Sydney with his parents for a while to visit some family.

"LUUUUUCCCYYYYY!!!" he barged into the room making me fall off my bed.

"OW! What the hell man! I was sleeping!" I shouted at him rubbing my eyes.

"You promised we'd hang out today! I knew you'd most likely sleep in so I came to wake you up early!" He said with a cute little smile, causing me to giggle.

"What?" He giggled, his cheeks turning pink.

"You're so adorable Hood!" I said with a chuckle, pinching his cheeks.

"Thanks I know, now let's go before we miss the bus!" He said heading out the door, "I'll wait for you downstairs. Can I watch the Lego movie again?" He said with a big smile.

"Knock yourself out, it's still in the DVD player" I said yawning.

"Kay thanks, hurry up don't take forever" he said finally leaving.

I decided to just put on some ripped jeans & a Green Day shirt with some black vans & I pulled my hair up in a messy bun & put on a black bow, I grabbed my wallet, my phone & my keys & I headed downstairs.
