Ivy Creek is a 20 year old college drop out - if you can really call a person who only attended orientation a dropout. She doesn't have much to show for her youth but a highschool diploma, an ex she can't get rid of, and a minimum wage job at a hole in the wall coffee-and-donut joint. Levi Ackerman is a retired fighter pilot, slaving away at Reiss Industries engineering military gear when he hires Ivy's ex-boyfriend as a lowly parts polisher. While finances keep Ivy tied to the coffeehouse and routine keeps Levi bound to his high stakes career, their paths intertwine in an inescapable whirlwind of a a discovered book, a mechanic shop, and a twin flame. While Ivy navigates poverty and loose ends for a second chance at her dreams of writing and stability, Levi must learn to open up and trust for his final shot at love.
