TW: Domestic Abuse, Bullying.

How bad the world is. How everyone is to blame for every injustice in some or another way. How everyone can be responsible for wrongdoings yet have a reason for it?

"Wait!" The boy demanded, grabbing her backpack harshly, and making her stumble on her feet. "Let's talk, shall we?"

"I am sorry! I really am!" She pleaded.

"Your 'sorry' won't bring back my lost money!" He said angrily. "Do you even know how much that was?"
"Eh, I doubt she has ever seen that much Nathan." The other boy said. Lia was shaking from fear now.

"How you are going to pay back, huh? Dear Lia" Nathan smugly mocked.
"I will try my best to pay you back everything," Lia said, the hint of desperation evident in her eyes.
"As if you ever can," Nathan said and scoffed. He hit the girl on her calve, she couldn't stand up. He indicated his friend to bring something.

With another one of his "friends", he got a bottle filled with icy cold dirty water and poured it on the girl, slowly. She screeched, she was shaking violently and crying. People were watching. Just watching. The ones who tried to call for help were shunned for the fear of being bullied for merely helping someone is greater than the fear of helping someone bullied terribly. The boys left her, smiling like maniacs, ear to ear. They knew no one would stop them, hence, the treacherous act.

At the back side, there was a rally going on about the anti-bullying campaign, people on the mic were exclaiming about the side effects of bullying. How badly it affects an individual and how it should be prevented. The situation couldn't be more ironic than this.

It was a heartbreaking sight to see, so many people yet no one helped her. Everyone turned a blind eye to her sufferings. It was difficult to say who was blamed except the boys. Were the people to blame who were scared for their own being while they were still in school? Or were the people to blame who simply turned a blind eye? If only talking would do the work then we would never dream of a distant place known as "Heaven".

In midst of the rain falling harshly,
a loud bang was heard from the inside of a small damp looking hut. Shouting, and screams filled the entirety of the neighbourhood for a second or two. Nothing was heard except the rain and them. Then, the very next second, everyone resumed their daily lives, the loud noises of anger and desperation inside the house getting muffled behind them.

But inside the damp-looking dwelling, if you can even call it so, two young lives, getting beaten mercilessly, as they had eaten stale food their mother had stored for herself as they had been hungry for a while, finally seeing the sight of food made them want to not starve for long,

"Mom! Stop! We are sorry!"
"We really are !"
"We won't do this again!"
"Sorry!"

"AFTER DISOBEYING ME YOU DARE TO SAY THAT?!", "DIDN'T I ASKED YOU TO NOT TOUCH THE FOOD?","IT IS ALREADY HARD ENOUGH TO GET BY!"

The intoxicated mother continued to beat her children. She has turned into a monster, a monster who could never attain salvation, a monster that was a human in disguise. It's an awfully heartwrenching sight. No one should ever be in or witness it.

What did the children do? What was wrong with them? Nothing.
How wrong was the mother in? As you can say. Even if she had her own share of daily struggles? That causes her actions but does not excuse so. The children, under any circumstances, didn't deserve her. They deserved a mother not a monster.

"I don't want to" requested the girl, already tired from the week and this wasn't making it any good.

"Don't be a killjoy C'mon!" one of her coworkers said.

The loud chattering and whisperings of the workers after a long and exhausting week filled the whole bar. The bar is a famous spot for office workers to come and unwind.

Having fun equals drinking according to office workers in a few places, and so was the case here. Getting drunk, having fun and all.

There was Lana, who never drank. The reason? She simply didn't want to. Enough valid reason. But her colleagues and supposedly her "friends" had different thoughts.

They were pestering her. To drink. She didn't want to.

"Why don't you drink Lana??", "C'mon, it's just a shot!", "Nothing will happen!" , "Don't be so lame!"
filled her ears. She was losing her patience at this point.

"WHICH PART OF 'I DON'T WANT TO ALL OF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND?? IS IT THAT DIFFICULT??" She screamed furiously.

"We just want you to have fun," Steve said frowning.

"Yours and my idea of fun are drastically different. I COULD HAVE HAD fun but all this forcing, pestering...shit. I am going, see you guys later."

Off she headed out, her coworkers gawking at her figure growing smaller. Some even managed to be ashamed surprisingly.

What's so wrong with being yourself? How difficult it is to just...let other people be themselves?? Why is there a dire need to fit in? Why did not even a single person stand up for her? Was everyone the same? Or are some just scared to be left out? Why did her coworkers force her? How good it would be only if everyone just accepted others as they are! Only if.
