I scanned through all the news channels, frustrated. All of the news was about Ricky Travis aka. the youngest billionaire in the world. I flopped my feet off the couch and turned off the T.V. Just because Ricky Travis was coming home from some long business trip from France, does not mean that everything's about him. As I got up, I picked up the shredded magazines that, which I ripped,were about him. He was just a money magnet, and conceited. He always swept the prettiest girls off their feet, with his so called "charm and wit." Oh please. I tossed the remote control behind my back, not daring to watch the news the whole week. I was annoyed by the "oh wonderful, handsome, rich, young Ricky Travis."
"Sammy, get dressed!" My mom called from her room. I groaned. So today was the big day. I went upstairs to my room, and got dressed in a strapless red dress. I undid the curlers on my head making the auburn curls fall to my shoulders. I carefully put my make-up on, not trying to overdo it. This day was truly the worst.
I dug into my messy closet for some decent heels, not too high and not too low. Finally, I reached for my Miu Miu bag. I groaned, "Why God, Why?" I muttered.
"Sammy, hurry up and come downstairs, and don't you dare wear those hideous heels!" Well so much for my decent pair of heels. I walked downstairs to find my mom holding 5 inch heels. "Mom, really?" I asked with a babyish whiny voice. She gave me those mom stares I couldn't say no to. As I put them on, I groaned once more.
Why was I groaning? I'm a childhood friend of Ricky Travis, and every once a year, I have dinner with him and his family.

Beware you guys! Beginnings are always the boring parts because I have to introduce the characters' personalities, setting, looks, the situation, etc. So if it gets boring, I'm sorry. I hate beginnings just as much as you guys. I know you guys are probably like "Just bring in the love story already!" but, all the stories I've read jumped right into the love story and kissing in the beginning. Brace yourselves! It gets better at chapter 4 or 5. I have really good and fresh ideas that you guys will love, but it's gonna take patience to wait and read through all the boring parts. Thanks!
