Van's P.O.V.
"TIME TO FACE OFF...IN A FEATURED BATTLE!!!"
I heard the announcer shout out
I was in eagle city about to participate in Turf Match alongside my 3-
"Hey, where are the other 2?" One of my teammates suddenly ask-....wait what?
"What do you mean by that?" I ask
"Look around us!" I do as he says and look around us left, right, up, down everywhere.
"Why? What's up?" I ask in a questioning way
"Van....we may be at a massive disadvantage here..." my teammate states, at first I was confused for a moment by what he meant, but then it hit me like a freight train.....
ITS GOING TO BE A 2 VS. 4 MATCHUP...
I stood there in fear that we were going to get obliterated,
but I remembered my dad...
and how close he was to death just to save me...
"Don't give up..." I said to myself which my only ally heard
"What's that?"
"Don't give up, as long as we can take the most drones, and not get obliterated on the spot we should be okay-"
"Okay- Van, there's no way I'm going In a match, KNOWING that there's no way to win, so sorry, you are on your own here." As he disappears on the spot
".....SERIOUSLY???" I just shouted
"IT LOOKS AS THOUGH TEAM BLUE IS AT A MASSIVE DISADVANTAGE! ALL AGAINST ONE MAN, WHAT WILL BE THE KEY SOLUTION TO VAN'S DILEMMA?"
The announcer shouts out
"Sorry team tiger.... but this ninja is not going to throw in the towel, not even in a situation like this!" I said to myself as the battle was about to begin while I ready my IPPON katana
"AAAAAAAAND....BEGIN!!!"
As I charge forward with determination written all over me as I stop at Zone A Capturing it, before using my gum dash to blast towards the floating platform containing Zone B, the dash panels on the way make up for a really good short cut there trust me.
But as I landed on the platform I saw a green long haired girl standing on the edge of the platform.
She was wearing a green and yellow striped sweater,
A long green skirt, and sandals. She looked like she was looking around eagle city.
But before I could question anything-
"THERE HE IS! SMOKE'EM!!"
I swiftly turned around gripping the katana firmly, before realizing the sight before me...
ALL 4 ENEMIES ARE STRIKING ME SIMULTANEOUSLY...
I almost lost my footing but I caught myself after remembering my father and gripped my katana while keeping my resolve burning.
As three of them attack me all at once I jumped out of the way then held my katana in a guarding stance blocking the 4th enemy's SK8 Hammer and successfully counter parrying but right after that my S-energy was depleted... I couldn't parry... and the remaining three were about to finish me...
But before I got obliterated, saw a drill crash into one of the enemies on the side knocking him over into one of his teammates, while also hitting their 3rd remaining teammate effectively knocking them out of the air while K.O.'ing them simultaneously, as I watched in shock and amazement at first,
but regained my senses as I realized...
I WAS FALLING TOO...
But as soon as I thought that and closed my eyes knowing that this was the end...
I felt a pair of arms catch me before i met a fatal end...
I open my eyes a bit and...
It's that girl from before!
then see the girl who saved me jump up back onto the floating platform as she then sets me down on Zone B.
"AM I SEEING THIS RIGHT? NOT ONLY DID A GIRL APPEAR OUT OF ABSOLUTELY WHO KNOWS WHERE, BUT SHE SAVED VAN BY DEFEATING 3 ENEMIES SINGLE HANDEDLY WITH THE DRILL! JUST WHO IS SHE?"
While on the platform Lying down face up I lay my eyes on the girl's face, she had red eyes, and a worried expression.
"Hey..." she spoke in an angelic like voice
"Are you doing alright? I saw those 4 guys going after you like crazy, and I couldn't just sit there. So I had to jump in before you got obliterated... I hope you are alright..." she said
"Y-yeah... I'm alright. Also... sorry if this comes off as rude but... who are you exactly?" I asked the girl
After I asked her that, it seemed like that she was thinking as she looked down a bit while narrowing her eyes a slightly before returning her gaze to me.
"Alice...Alice Crestia" the girl now introduced as Alice Crestia told me as Zone B became blue with my team's color, then it was as if she seemed like she was a bit jumped by it.
"It's alright, it's just my team... well... just me, capturing Zone B, A.K.A. this one." I reassured her
"What do you mean by 'capturing Zone B'?"
She asked
"So basically I'm in this competition where there are 2 teams of 4 fighting over 3 zones and whoever keeps 2 of the 3 zones for a longer period than the other, wins!" I explained as she looked interested
"Intriguing...wait I have to ask you something..."
She told me
"Sure! Go ahead!" I give her the green light
"Where are your teammates?" She asked that question I didn't expect but did at the same time... how...?
"...they left...." I answered
"...what?" She asked
"They left before the match even began..." I answered her again
"Tell me how..."
"Two of my teammates left me when we got to eagle city, then my third teammate left because he thought this battle was impossible to win..." I answered.
"Those jerks...." Alice cursed
"You can say that again." I said jokingly as we shared a laugh
"So... What's your name?" She asked
"It's Van." I answered. But before I was able to say anything else, she asked me something I never would of thought I would have heard...
"Van, Would you mind...if I joined your team?"
