GOGY POV
"Hey gogs." I hear Dream say softly as soft fur brushes against my leg. "George~," my name rings through my ears as my eyes open to welcome in rays of light from the yellowish bulbs above.
"What?" I ask, my voice deep, slumber pulling it down an octave. 'The prison wasn't a dream.' I realize when I fully grip what's going on. "Woah." I almost gasp when I see Dream's face.
I'm really not used to a handsome dirty blonde with piss yellow eyes, dogs ears, a softly wagging dog tail, and a good amount of muscle waking me up.
"Finally." Sapnap groans and rolls his brownish yellow eyes at me. "Dream forced us all to let you sleep."
"We made some progress while you were out though." Karl says with his normal joyful smile.
"What progress?" My voice asks steadily this time and a small smile breaks my lips apart.
"We discussed jobs a bit. We just need you to pick a different one if you don't like the one we chose for you." Wilbur informs me and some of the others nod. "We also talked about what we think happened."
"Oh okay. Well what job did you pick for me?" I look around and when Wilbur opens his mouth Dream cuts him off.
"I'm going to be chef so we thought you could clean up after meal cooking. Like do the dishes and such?" Dream looks hopeful that I'll agree so I do.
"Sure, now how do you think we got here?" I quickly change the subject after agreeing and Wilbur writes something down in his little notebook.
"I think that this is a different universe." Tommy says in a relaxed way which is slightly unusual for him.
"Like the multiverse theory?" I ask skeptically and Tommy nods.
"Like we're on a different Earth than we went to sleep on. Somehow our bodies changed whenever we got here." Tubbo continues Tommy's thoughts. "We think there might be a way back."
"How?" Is all I can think to ask so I ask it.
Everyone glances between each other then they look down at the table. "We aren't sure." Ranboo says for the group and I nod. It's honestly what I expected them to say. None of us are genius scientists and even then the multiverse theory is just that, a theory.
"I guess we just need to work together with how things are now. Maybe we were meant to be transferred here." I shrug because I have nothing else to say. It's pretty hopeless that we'll get back home.
"We have one more theory." Dream's voice sounds like it aches for him to continue. "We think this might be it." He takes a short pause to sigh. "We think this might be the same Earth. That this is what's left. We looked outside and there was nothing for miles and miles on end, all the phones are dead, there's no wifi, everything is pre-downloaded, and it seems like there hasn't been life here for years."
"What do you mean?" I look up at him and worry uselessly.
"All the food was in cans, boxes, or in deep freeze." Dream continues. "There's animals and plants growing freely outside as if people deserted this place long ago."
"Maybe this was a bunker of sorts." Wilbur suggests. "I have no idea, honestly. But, if there's any hope that we're not alone, then we're very far from any human civilizations."
