Chapter 4

The next day we decided to look in the house since our snack supply has run out and we well more Eddie was hungry again. He found a can of... something and started cooking it while it was cooking, he tried to signal Dustin on the walkie talkie for help when Nancy picked up "Wheeler hey, we're gonna need a food delivery really soon unless you want Alice here to eat me because it just looks like she is crazy enough to try anything at this point unless you want us to go out in the world and can you pick us up a six pack. I know it's stupid as shit drinking right now but a cold beer would really calm my jangled nerves" he said and I rolled my eyes as he was interrupted and the walkie talkie stopped "really?" I ask him crossing my arms "what? You look like you could eat just about anything right about now." He said handing me the pot which apparently had pasta in it "thanks. Now you can rest easy because I won't eat you." I said with a glare as he laughed at me. We were back in the shed throwing stones in the empty can of pasta when we heard a car "oh finally." I said going to the window only to see it wasn't Dustin and friends instead it was the basketball team "oh shit." I said and Eddie came over to see who it was. When he saw the group, he pulled me down. "We're in trouble." He said and I rolled my eyes "you think I didn't notice." I said as the group entered the house. He tried to get in touch with Dustin and the others but getting nowhere he gave up "stay here and get the boat ready for an escape." I said pointing to the boat "what are you going to do?" He asks me and I smirk "I'm going to have some fun." I said leaving the shed and turning invisible. I entered the house and turned visible making as much noise as possible "Look what we have here, the freaks girlfriend." Jason said and I rolled my eyes "where's your boyfriend, freak?" He asks and got closer to me "ask your girlfriend, douchebag." I said and he looked at me threateningly "what did you just say?" He asks putting his hand on my throat and lifting me off the ground "I'm not sure I heard you." He said pinning me to the wall and I started laughing "I said go ask your girlfriend." I said and threw him across the room with my mind. The rest of the guys quickly came to his aid and I laughed "you're with him in the hellfire cult, aren't you?" He asked me trying to hit me with his baseball bat "not yet but I'm sure my acceptance letter will arrive any day now." I said with a smile and he swung his bat at me but missed "you missed." I said with a smile as he tried again but he kept missing "okay look you clearly suck at baseball so I'll tell you what, you get one free swing where I won't move how does that sound huh?" I ask him and he groans in frustration before swinging the bat at me and this time instead of dodging it. I caught it. "Would you look at that. Do I get a prize for catching it?" I ask and he groans "nope didn't think so." I said as I threw the bat across the room as the other two swung their weapons at me but they proved no match as I knocked them on their asses. Then it was Jason's turn again "ready for round two?" I ask him with a smirk and he tried to hit me a few times before I knocked him on his ass too "you just got beat up by a girl, hope your egos will recover." I said leaving the house and turning invisible as they all came running out "find her, she couldn't have gotten that far." Jason said and started running in the opposite direction of the house, his goons not far behind him and I started laughing going back to the shed "that should keep them occupied for a few hours." I said and he sighed with relief "I thought you were a goner." He said and I laughed "I just had some fun with them, they should be out for a couple of hours." I said and he nod his head. After a few hours just as I predicted Jason and his friends showed up again "shit." I said and got down as Eddie came over to investigate but I dragged him down with me "Dustin, please are you there?" He asked on the walkie talkie "we need to go." I said pointing towards the boat and he ran for it and got it in the water. He climbed in before helping me in and started paddling away from the shore line. "Hey freaks! Where do you think you're going?" We heard from behind us and turned to see Jason and another one of his goons get in the water "can you see if you can get this thing started?" Eddie asked and I nod my head as I went over to the motor and tried a few times "nope it's busted." I said grabbing an oar and started paddling. Jason was catching up to us so Eddie being Eddie stood up and started swinging his oar at the space between us. When I heard a noise that sounded like a clock "not again..." I said as the other guy that was with Jason shot out of the water and into the air and Eddie fell off the boat and I jumped in after him. A few seconds later we resurfaced and heard a splash and I knew the guy was dead. "Come on Eddie, we have to go." I said and pointed in the opposite direction and we started swimming.
