ch.1

‘Beep beep beep’ 

Benjamin gets up after turn off is alarm. It's time to get ready for university as it's his first day in Newtown. he gets up turns his light on, the goes to the bathroom and fixes up’ his brown longish hair, he looks it his eyes he has brown eyes with little gray spots he then looks at his lips they are full and a light pink. He puts on his favorite hoodie. It's black with a small symbol of an alien on it. He puts on black skinny jeans and some Converses, grabbing his books and putting them in his bag and Heads to the lounge only to see his father passed out of the couch, ever since his mother died his dad has been a really bad alcoholic. He shakes his head and walks to the back door before turning back and grabbing the keys off the counter finally to head back then leaving the house walking to school he gets to the universe of Linwood his Newtown and school. Benjamin is studying to get a degree in law, he finds his classrooms sitting at the back trying to stay away from people. About 1 minute later everyone starts to fill the class as the class starts at 9 a.m. about another 2 minutes goes by, The teacher walks in. He looks to be in his early maybe late 20s, He’s tall, black hair and a gorgeous smile. He looks too young to be a teacher, Benjamin thinks to himself. The teacher stands up front and tells everyone to get their books out. His voice is deep and masculine and he seems to be wise just by the way he talks. He starts writing some things on the whiteboard. Benjamin is not really paying attention as it's only the first day so nobody needs to pay attention. it's just introducing to the class

 Benjamin's pov

 it's really boreing and hot in this classroom but at least I get to watch this teacher walking around upfront not that I am paying attention to what he has to say. Class finishes around 11 a.m. which means i still have the whole day to hang around. we grab our bags and head for the door before the teacher stops us all, we all turn to look at him and he says that we have class the same time tomorrow so make sure not to be late we all nod and walkout. I don't exactly want to  go home so I guess I'll look around the town that will be in my home from now on. I started walking up the main street and noticed there's little stores, flower shops and supermarkets. You know the usual for a small town. I turn my head towards the mountains and see that there is a small water tank. I start to make my way across the town and as I get to the big river on the other side, there's a railroad Bridge it looks old, like it hasn't been used in years. I start to walk across and  watch where I'm walking. On the other side I see it's just thick trees but I can hear a small stream just in front of me. I keep walking into the woods and soon I'm coming up to the small water tank that has a ladder on the other side so I go around and climb up it I get to the top of this water tank. There is a lot of graffiti as one would guess. I turn around and look at the small town that's destined to be my home. it's small yet seems kind of mysterious, like I get this feeling that something's in this town that shouldn't be here, I sit up here until it starts to go dark, getting halfway through my packet of cigarettes that I just bought yesterday.

I climb down and walk back to the bridge making sure I watch where I step as I go back across it into the town. I get into the middle of town, where I noticed that a cafe is open which is weird because it's now 6:30pm most shops Close at 5pm. I go in and ask for a small coffee with 2 sugars they say it'll be ready in 2 minutes and so I stand back and wait. They call my name and I go got my coffee, The girl behind the counter was small with long brown hair she seems nice but way to happy at this time of the night I pay for my coffee and leave heading back up the road. down to my house just outside of the town as I'm walking I get this weird feeling as if I'm being watched but I just ignore it as being paranoid about this town. I finally get to my house and try to sneak into my backdoor. I get halfway through my kitchen before the lights turn on and my dad standing before me “And where have you been!” my dad asks me, ‘like he really cares’ I roll my eyes and try to walk past him he grabs my arm and tells me I'm not going anywhere. I put my head down trying to avoid eye contact with him because it's always so awkward, he slaps me hard across the face telling me that I need to look him in the eye when he's talking to me ‘damn that fucken slap hurt’. I looked my dad in the eyes trying not to cry because I will not let him see me being weak. He has a small smile on his face. It shows he's clearly been drinking and is finding it amusing that I'm in pain and he is the one causing it. He let go of my arms and I ran up the stairs to go to my bedroom to lock the door and slide to the ground. my face hurts and my head is pounding. I really just want to sleep but no I'll probably not get any sleep tonight with dad watching tv really loud. I go to my bathroom and start washing up, taking a shower and brushing my teeth. I go and jump into my bed and it's only 7:30pm. Right now I lay on my phone until 9 p.m. and then I decide that I'll go to sleep. Let's see what tomorrow has for me. I say to myself as I drift off to sleep.
