Chapter 11

After work, hinatid ako ni Etienne sa apartment. I stayed silent since the confrontation in the office. Hindi ko siya kinakausap kasi sa huli, pagtatawanan niya lang ako.

When we arrived at my apartment I asked him, “Papasok ka sa loob?”

“If it's okay with you,” he smiled at me. 'Yung ngiti na umaasa para payagan ko na pumasok.

“Tara,” nauna na akong lumabas ng kotse.

Nahihiya talaga ako sa inakto ko kanina. May pa don't let anyone disturb us kasi siya, ayan tuloy.

Nakasunod lang siya sa'kin hanggang makapasok kami sa loob.

“Upo ka muna. Magbibihis muna ako saglit.”

Tumango siya kaya umalis na rin ako. I changed my clothes into a comfy one... an oversized shirt and lose shorts. Lumabas ako ng kwarto pagkatapos, nadatnan ko siyang nag c-cellphone. Lumapit ako sa kaniya.

“Dito ka maghahapunan?” I asked and he excitedly nodded.

“Kakain ka ng gulay?” Natahimik siya saglit. Bumuntong-hininga siya at tumango.

“Honestly, I don't eat vegetables but I want to dine with you so it's fine. I can tolerate the taste as long as you're the one who'll cook it.” I smiled when he admitted it.

Kinilig ako kahit gano'n lang ang kaniyang sinabi. Ang lakas mo magpa fall, Sancho Etienne!

Hinila niya ako at niyakap. Just like what he did earlier, nakasubsob ang kaniyang ulo sa aking tiyan.

“Salamat. Hearing that means a lot to me.”

I'm happy to know that he's willing to adjust his liking just to dine with me. Although, if tatanggi siya or any, I will still respect it. Pero ngayon, I appreciate it, a lot.

I let him hug me, gusto ko rin naman kaya bakit pa aayaw.

“Clingy ka pala, Etienne?” I teased him while I'm combing his hair using my hand.

“Why? You don't like it?” he timidly asked.

“Hindi naman. I'm just surprised that you have this kind of side. Nasanay ako na suplado ka lagi,” I confessed.

“Right, I'm sorry if I'm being mean then.”

”It's alright. You caught my attention because of it,” pag amin ko.

“Really? I thought it was a red flag for you.”

“Hindi naman. Nababasa mo naman siguro ang mga notes, 'no? Charot-charot lang ang mga 'yon pero umaasa pa rin ako kaunti.” I giggled remembering those note, nagbunga ang mga 'yon.

“You said in our first encounter that I'm not your type,” he complained.

“Nahuli mo kasi akong nakatitig sa'yo kaya nasabi ko 'yon sa sobrang hiya.” I honestly said and he laughs.

“I was checking you out when I was reading your resume too, so, it's just fair. You don't need to be shy, love,” he admitted then chuckled after.

Ay madaya!

“Ikaw ha?! May lihim na pagtingin ka pala sa'kin pero lagi kang nagsu-suplado!” panunumbat ko sa kan'ya.

His laughs echoed in my little living room. Sinubsob niya ang kan'yang ulo sa'king t'yan na para bang nanggigigil.

“Sorry about that. It's just I dont know how to treat you so that you won't think that I'm creepy,” I smiled knowing that he considered my feelings.

Nagpatuloy kami sa pag-uusap until we diceded to cook our food for dinner. He helped chopped the vegetables, I saw him winced sometimes. He hate vegetables that much, huh?

Nang matapos ako magluto, hinanda niya na ang lamesa tapos ako 'yong naghahain at pagkatapos ay nagsimula na kaming kumain.

“Etienne?” kuha ko sa kanyang attention.

“County?”

“'Di ba nanliligaw ka sa'kin?”

“Yes, why? D-don't tell me you want me to stop?” I can feel that he's nervous when he asks that.

“Oo, sana...” I confirmed what he ask.

“W-why? I thought the feeling is mutual,” malungkot na sabi nito.

“I know that it's still early. We had only known each other for only 3 months. You started to court me last night. Regardless, I believe that it is the relationship that should be prolonged not the courtship. Also, we can know each other better during our relationship. So, what I want to say is that we're officially on, starting today.” I explained agitated that his thoughts is contrary to mine.

Nagulat ako nang tumayo siya bigla. Lumapit siya sa'kin at pinagpantay ang mukha namin.

“Are you sure about that?” he asks to make sure that I'm serious and I give him a nod.

I closed my eyes when I can feel his face move nearer to mine. Our lips meet and we shared our first kiss. May fireworks! I can feel something explode in my stomach.

We broke our kiss with a smile. Pinag dikit niya ang mga noo namin.

“Thank you, County. Even in a short time, I know that I'm already falling, and I'll make you catch me. I'm so happy right now. I'm so happy right now that I don't know what to say. One thing I'll promise is, from now on, it'll be you, only you, love.” he spoke up and kissed my forehead

My heart is crying because of too much happiness right now. I really want him for me.
