Chapter 3: Unexpected Reunions

Andrea called Jay and said "Honey I'm freaking out, this woman saw my arm glowing and I freaked out and knocked her unconscious and now I'm bringing her home in my car!!"...what if she tells, what if anyone saw?!". Jay told her to relax and drive normally and that they both would fix it when she arrives home. As she pulled into their 2 car garage, Jay was already there with tape and rope as they both tied the mysterious woman up and sat her in a chair in their dining room. Jay pressed his hand to her forehead in an attempt to access her mind and erase the memories, but instead, he groaned out in pain as his powers shorted out. This caused him to go flying across the room and the woman levitated out of her bonds, before regaining consciousness.

"Who or what are you?" asked Jay but Maya refused to let two humans uncover her identity. Andrea frowned and took a defensive stance as the purple patch on her forearm continued to glow, making it fully noticeable to Maya. Her eyes opened wide as she said "My children...is that you?" and Andrea said, "Are you confused, miss?" You are not my mother". Maya quickly remembered that before she transported Andrea back home, her memory was wiped to protect Maya sighed and decided that if she was going to survive she needed help and sadly that meant bringing the very two she wished to protect, into this mess.

She sat down and said, "I'm the star goddess Maya...I am one of the Astro-gods that you brought back to life last year, but I wiped your memory before I sent you home to keep you out of this". "Keep us out of what?" asked Jay and Maya said, "I'm one of the few gods left that hasn't been infected by the chaotic powers of Agathor's children". Andrea and Jay looked at each other as if immediately agreeing that she was indeed telling the truth since she knew about Agathor. As they all walked into the living room and sat down, Maya began to lay out all the events of the last year for the couple. Maya said, "It's all my fault...I've failed my people". Andrea walked over and hugged Maya and said "It's gonna be alright Mother, we will figure something out".

Maya said, "I hope so because it's only a matter of time before they come looking for all 3 of us after connecting the dots on my whereabouts". Andrea smiled and said "You've had a rough day, relax and we'll figure something out tomorrow" and Maya said, "Okay children". After going up to their bedroom, Andrea frowned at Jay and said "Oh dear lord...not another universe is falling apart deal" and Jay kisses her and said don't worry it's going to be okay as long as we're together, now get some rest, we have to go to work in the morning".

In the morning, Andrea and Jay woke up and got ready for their usual boring days at work. After heading downstairs, they saw Maya already awake, but in meditation, so they quietly left out and got into their respective cars, and drove off. when Andrea arrived at Slabmart she got started on her daily rounds and then her paperwork which kept her busy until noon. After finishing she thought it would be pretty cute if she popped in on Jay for a lunch picnic date so she left her new assistant manager and best friend; Paula in charge until she got back. Paula grinned at her and said, "I get it, you're stressed and wanna have sex in his big executive office". Andrea blushed at her and said "Shut up before I tell Jorge you like him" and Paula backed away and said, "I'm sorry okay, just don't tell him yet". Before leaving Andrea said "Only if you behave yourself" as she walked out of the office giggling and out to her car.

She wasn't looking for anything sophisticated so she stopped at "Donny's Burger Palace" and picked up a few burgers, some fries, and Jay's favorite; a strawberry milkshake, before heading to his workplace. On her way there, she sent him a text message but he didn't answer, she would've used telepathy but they both agreed to respect each other's thoughts and not use it but she said fuck it. She used her telepathy and after what she saw and heard, she said fuck an elevator and took the stairs filled with rage.

Meanwhile, Jay was upstairs in his office hammering out a contract with these two beautiful women from a home contractor company and he had just sealed the deal when Andrea stormed in with a face as red as a tomato which prompted the girls to quickly exit the room upon seeing her face. Jay smiled nervously and said "What are doing here honey" and Andrea growled and said, "If you checked your phone instead of flirting with your clients, you'd know". Before Jay could say anything else, Andrea threw the milkshake at him, ruining his suit, and dumped the food all over his desk before slamming her engagement ring on it and walking out of his office. She walked down and got into her car as Jay's voice echoed in her head saying "Let me explain".
