Snowpiercer - Melanie and Alex

Its been one month already.

It's been one month since Melanie left Snowpiercer in hopes of finding a warming place for the people of the train to colonise. The condition aboard the train is worse than ever, people are scared of each other. Word now rules with an Iron fist, already showing he's capable of terrible things when he executed 8 people whom he made kill the breachmen.

Alex has come to understand that 'daddy dubbs' isn't the man she thought he was, and Melanie is a better person than Wilford Ever made her believe. Once she discovered Wilfords plan to leave her mom behind, she began stashing MREs and breach equipment near the Big Alice cold lock.

BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH

The time has come. With the help of Bennett, Ruth, Javi and Layton the train turns towards the neckbreaker track and begins the ascent to Breslauer Station.

After she slashed his carotid, Alex ran to the cold lock, quickly donning the breach suit and gathered her supplies into 2 large bags before jumping out of the train onto the cold hard surface of the mountainside. This was the first time she had been off train in 7 years. She quickly had to put her sentimentality aside and began climbing up to the Research station. it took her almost 90 minutes, but thanks to the batteries she brought with her, her suit was still warm.

Upon arrival she saw the corridor into the station was cold and dark. She banged and pounded on the door to alert her mother of her presence. Suddenly out of the darkness, she saw a figure emerge. It was Melanie. Her face was gaunt and her eyes tired but it didn't matter to Alex, she got back to her mom. Melanie still had her breach suit on so Alex pushed the door open and embraced her mom like she so wanted to this past month.

Melanie was shocked and Dumbfounded at the fact her daughter was infact there with her and not just a figment of her imagination. Alex explained everything to her mother as they plugged in the fresh batteries and got some food cooking. Melanie explained her predicament to Alex and her utmost delight at the fact she brought plenty of food with her.

Melanie began to explain to her daughter that there would be only enough power in the batteries for a few weeks as the solar panels were continuing to degrade daily as a result of constant snowstorms. Alex didn't care that they could only survive a few weeks there, she cared only for her mother and the chance she now had with her. After a feast of MREs the duo got to packing the drives onto a sled and soon after, they fell asleep in the tent together.

A few days had passed and Alex's rations disappeared faster than she expected. Melanie was able to offer a solution. Her old world knowledge of Wilford Industries provided her and her daughter with a way of getting back to Snowpiercer. Somewhere on the Rocky mountain track was a maintenance shed. She knew it must have remained untouched ever since the freeze and that there would be valuable materials there for the duo to obtain. They set off in the morning in search of the shed and only one hour later they had found it. The shed had a full storage section and even 3 locomotives untouched for years. Melanie was able to jump-start one of the locomotives with the batteries they had brought with them. Luckily the storage section contained spare batteries and crates of MREs and even drawer supplies all preserved by the cold.

They loaded up their locomotive which they soon discovered was an even earlier prototype engine than Big Alice, nicknamed Rock-Breaker.
After retrieving any final supplies from the station, they began their journey together into the white in search of Snowpiecer, with the truth on their side.
