there once was a small creature who was abandoned by his family. after many sleepless nights the little creature found himself on the doorstep of the mighty hero "dude-man" who trained the creature to bevome a strong and powerful hero as well. He was then labeled the hero "creatin"!
This is his story........
...
One day, the two beings grew close. They had become fast friends due to their similar interests in the superhero business. In fact they were quite alike; both could use magic and were extremely passionate about it. But what really attracted them were not the same things at all. The little thing named "lil creatin" was different from the other heroes in that he didn't know how or why the others got theirs. He was curious though, so one day when the two were training together he asked the hero for an explanation.
"I've always been this way you see," said the hero, "I used to train everyday and I never knew why. Then one day, I met my father! He explained the whole thing to me and told me that I had magical powers, which is what drew me to being a hero. Now, when you get a power like mine, your body gets better at controlling it, but I have yet to find that one that's perfect."
he smiled down at the creature who stood by his side.
"That makes me happy to hear!" said "creatin", "It'll be nice having someone special to train with!"
the hero nodded before returning his attention to the field before them.
"Do you want some water?" he asked.
"sure!" said "lil creatin".
after they took a moment to refresh themselves they continued sparring until the sun began to sink below the horizon."Well, i'll let you go," said the hero, "We'll meet tomorrow at dawn, we can start training then!"
The creature nodded his head vigorously in agreement before taking off in the direction of home.
When he arrived, he walked into his room and climbed beneath the covers where he slept peacefully until morning. However, despite his peaceful slumber, sleep would not come easy to the young hero who felt restless.
He couldn't understand why he couldn't sleep; he should be sleeping soundly right now. Why was he unable to get to rest? Was there something wrong with him? Something strange perhaps? What caused his lack of sleep? What would make this happen? All this went through the young child's mind as he lay awake. Finally, finally he managed to fall asleep, however when he did it came quickly with what could only be described as a vision, a horrible vision of a city on fire, and a group of heroes lying dead on the ground. It was just as if it happened last night.
In response to this vision, the young boy fell out of bed, waking himself with a scream. Upon opening his eyes he looked around frantically, trying to remember where he was. After getting himself calmed down, the boy realized that he was safe, at least that's what he thought. He wasn't sure what else could possibly be going on, though. After all, what could cause such a dream? The child stared at the ceiling thinking hard about what exactly had been happening last night. What could the nightmare be telling him? What could possibly cause it?
Suddenly, a noise from downstairs startled the child. He jumped out of bed and ran to the stairs. As he descended, he saw a figure standing near the kitchen counter looking intently at their items laid out across the counter. He watched silently as the man turned to face him. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that this was no ordinary man, it was a spirit.
Upon hearing the soft footsteps the spirit's head snapped up and he faced the small child who cowered slightly from what he believed to be evil. After staring at the boy, the spirit gave a sad smile. The child could see sadness and sorrow radiating from the spirit's face, something that confused him greatly. The man's expression soon transformed from sadness to a look of surprise. With great care he approached the frightened boy. The spirit knelt to his level and held the boy in front of himself.
"What is your name?" he asked. The child trembled. He did not answer; he only stared back at the man in fear. Slowly the spirits hand reached to stroke the boy's face, but before it made contact with the young ones skin, he pulled away and backed away. He had seen enough to know that he was not in danger, but this did not stop him from feeling fearful.
"Why won't you talk to me child?" The spirit seemed hurt. The child could feel that, however, this did not deter his fear. Without another word, he dashed past the spirit towards the door, slamming it behind him loudly as he exited the house.
His actions caused the spirit to sigh deeply and drop his arms limply to his sides. His eyes filled with pain. He slowly sank onto the floor as he rested against the wall. He closed his eyes, allowing tears to flow freely down his cheeks, causing them to sparkle with each droplet that slipped from his closed eyelids.
"So cruel" he muttered, "so unfair"
Then suddenly, a voice broke through the spirit's silence. A sweet and familiar voice.
"Oh good, you're here"
as the spirit turned to his side he saw his goid friend Mr nomjoon.
"Are you okay?" he said, "you seem upset"
As if to answer his question, the spirit rose and stepped into view.
"How does one react when their friend leaves? When their best friend tells them that they are leaving forever?" the spirit replied. Mr nomjoon tilted his head and blinked a few times in confusion.
"You don't have friends?!"
the spirit shook his head and looked down at the ground before responding.
"I've only ever had one friend" the spirit said with sadness and regret laced throughout his words.
"And that friend left without saying goodbye..."
Mr nomjoon frowned slightly at this statement before sitting next to the spirit.
"I'm sorry that it happened to you," he said solemnly, placing a comforting hand on the spirit's shoulder, "but don't worry about him."
The spirit looked into Mr nomjoon' eyes and noticed that despite his attempts to appear serious his eyes betrayed a small glint of joy. The spirit felt a warm feeling spread within himself knowing he wasn't completely alone.
"Thank you for understanding" he said gratefully.
"No problem" Mr nomjoon said softly, smiling brightly. After a short while of comfortable silence, the two dissaperead from Lil creatins home, without a trace. meanwhile the creatin was running cowardly to the headquarters of the muffins, which was the team of powerful heroes that dude man was a part of. Once again the little creatin found himself outside the doors of the headquarters, which led to a large office room.
He entered and saw his hero friend and another male that he did not recognize. The hero stood and walked over to the small boy.
"Hey, welcome lil creatin!" the hero said cheerily
"Hi...um" the small creature stuttered, "Who are you people?"
the hero chuckled before walking over to him and gently grabbing him by the shoulders.
"I'm the hero, hero name 'cuz the first one is awesome and the second one has an e" the hero rambled.
The hero then turned to the other hero.
"You must be hero name 'cuz you're strong and stuff" the hero said
"Yeah!" replied the hero.
Both the heroes then sat down at the table where they all began conversing quietly amongst themselves. However, the little creatin was not paying any attention. In fact, he wasn't listening to anything that anybody was saying.
After some time, he decided to excuse himself and went home. He wanted to think things over and try to calm down. He needed to make sense of everything that had happened that day, as well as to figure out the source of his strange dreams.
He entered the home once again, which was still and quiet. He wandered into the kitchen and opened one of the cabinets. Inside were all the cupboards and drawers that the family had accumulated over the years, but instead of finding whatever he was looking for he found nothing but empty food containers and empty packaging. It had seemed that the mysterious figure from earlier had stolen his food. Well, he wouldn't have to worry about that anymore. He could live on instant noodles for weeks if need be. He sighed sadly and placed the empty container back inside the cabinet before closing it shut and making his way up to his room.
Once up in his room he collapsed onto his bed with a sigh.
"My life sucks, doesn't it?" he mumbled to himself. He looked around his room. Everything seemed normal. It was just like he remembered it. It almost felt as if it was yesterday. Almost! It definitely was not yesterday, though. How could it be after so many years? It didn' make any sense. He looked around his room a moment more. Nothing seemed to seem amiss. Then, something did catch his eye, something on his dresser. He got up and opened the drawer, revealing what appeared to be some sort of note.
Dear child, I apologize for my previous actions. Please forgive me. This is for you, as a peace offering
A shiver ran down his spine. A shiver of dread that made him sick. This was all too familiar. This feeling of familiarity was almost suffocating. But it wasn't because he feared this strange man. No, this was because of something deeper inside himself that he couldn't explain. He knew exactly who this letter belonged to; the same one he had found written in the shadows of his closet all those years ago. It was him, it had to be him, yet it couldn't be! How could it be?! He grabbed it carefully and brought it close to his chest. Suddenly a memory appeared in his mind that caused him a multitude of greif. when he was abandoned by his parents, he had no possessions to his name, all except for a yellow blanket that he found covering himself one morning after spending the night in some alleyway. And sure enough in his closet, there sat that same yellow blanket.
The next morning he took his possessions, and left his home. Lil creatin then went to the only place he knew of that would accept him and keep him away from danger, the muffins headquarters, where his hero mentor dude man lived. As Lil creatin got his boxes packed and closed the front door behind him, he knew that the next chapter of his life as a hero was now set in motion.
