You had been knocked out. Yesterday, you'd decided to take your father's beautiful boat out to sea, but it was awful timing. On your way, you'd crossed paths with a storm. A terrible storm. This storm caused the waves to violently throw the boat around. And, unable to steer you'd been knocked out by a falling glass bottle. That's the last memory you had of yesterday. Now you were far from mainland. You were in outer banks. Your father had told you it was dangerous over here, but your mother had often told you dreamy stories of outer banks as a little girl. You thought it seemed like a wonderful place. You were currently lying on the outer banks beach, drained of air. Catching your breath, you attempted to pull yourself up. That's when you noticed the amount of sand in your throat. You caught some nearby strangers' attention, coughing up the sand. A Perticular blonde boy looked as if he was walking towards you. And he certainly was. "Thats a lot of sand. What happened to you? Did you fall asleep surfing or something?" he joked, helping you up.
"Worse, I actually got caught up in a storm. Can you point me in the direction of the boats? To the mainland?" You asked, cutting your conversation short.
"You aren't from around here are you! Why are you leaving so soon?"
"I couldn't stay, I have to get back to my father."
"What's your name?" the boy asked.
"Y/n." You answered, staring at him suspiciously.
"Well, Y/n, would your father mind if you stayed in outer banks just until tomorrow?"
"Not if he didn't know," you replied, laughing. The boy laughed back. "Nice to meet you Y/n, I'm JJ," he announced, holding out his hand for you to shake. Getting the idea, you shook it. "Nice to meet you, JJ."
"C'mon! I'll show you around! We can all sleep at John B's house tonight, he won't mind," JJ said, grabbing your hand and running up the beach.
"John B?" You said, catching your breath again. He came to a walk, realising you were out of breath, you'd just almost drowned in the ocean! "Yes, he's my best friend. Along with Pope and Kiara, I'll introduce you to them, don't worry."
