Chapter 20: Our Best

I stood there, and I stared at my helmet that was in fact in front of me just now, all at once. As I was so used to seeing the old helmet that I had back in the day, at that. As it was some thing that had in fact been specially designed for me, all at the exact same time too.
But this helmet, that was not the case for it what so ever. As it was that it was clear to me, all at the exact same time too, at that. That this was in fact a helmet that was clearly made for the fact of course, for the entire team. As every player that was in fact in this locker room of course, did in fact have the same helmet on that I was about to put on.
It was not the helmet that did in fact have me thrown off... Who was I really kidding? What really was what it was that did in fact have me thrown off of course. Was of course the fact that it was that I did in fact know that I was about to go out on that field...
This was an away game, as not only was it the first time that it was that I had in fact been out of the juvy place. But this was also the first time that it was that I had heard a crowd so loud as this, all at the exact same time too. As I kind of felt like it had me a little bit thrown off. As I remember the empty stadium at the game that it was that we had in fact played last week.
And we had in fact got destroyed in that game of course, as I knew that it was that it had in fact not been close what so ever, all at the exact same time too, never the less. As I kind of just seemed to let out a bit of a rough, and a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once, at that, never the less.
As in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead all of the sudden, at that. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to get my mind and my focus off of all of that, all at the exact same time too. As I knew as to just what it was that that I did in fact need to do right now.
I kind of just let out a bit of a rough sigh to my self, all at once. As I did my best to try to act like this was all fine, and that this was all normal to me, all at the exact same time too. As I just then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden speak to my self a little bit, all at once, at that.
"Come on Grant... Just put the damn helmet on..." I said to my self, as this felt worse than it was that I felt like it was that I had been. When it was that I had in fact played my first game of football back in the day. When I had simply just been 5 years old, as it had in fact been flag football...
That was when I had found out that I was actually a really good athlete. And that I was actually really good at football, all at the exact same time too, never the less. As that was when it was that I knew that I had actually loved football, and I had enjoyed the game, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of closed my eyes, all at the exact same time too. As I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was thinking right now. As I knew that it was that I still loved football, all at the exact same time too.
I knew as to just what it was that was in fact wrong with me. It was the fact that it was of course. That I was not all too sure if it was that I could still play football... At least I knew that it was that I could not play like it was that I had played back in the day.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there, and I had in fact just seemed to have stared a bit longer at the locker room that was in fact in front of me, all at the exact same time too, at that. That was when I just kind of shook my head a little bit to my self, all at once, at that. As I knew as to just what it was that I knew that I needed to do next.
I knew that even if it was that I felt like I was about to stink up the joint on the field, at that. I knew that the team needed me, if it was that we were actually going to play, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I kind of just seemed to have stood there, and I kind of just seemed to have just put the helmet on to my head.
Just as it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, all at once. That was when I then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden feel some thing. As it was clear to me that it was in fact a hand that was in fact on my shoulder, all at the exact same time too.
I was a little bit lost as to just what it was that I had in fact just felt, all at the exact same time too. That was until it was that I noticed that it was that it had in fact been Johny. As he had been the one that had in fact been trying to get my attention just now.
I had my eyes a little bit wide at first, all at the exact same time too. As I kind of just was a little bit worried as to the fact that it was that he was still upset about yesterday, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I was about to dip my head a little bit low to the ground for what ever reason or another.
How ever, in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to stop my self from doing as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too. As I just then in the end, all at the exact same time as well, at that. I then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden see him nod on over towards me all of the sudden, at that. As it was clear to me that he was letting me know that he was about to speak on over towards me, all at once.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have started to notice that it was in fact the case all of the sudden, at that. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead. And I then did in fact just seem to start to nod right back on over towards him. As I knew that it was of course, that he was in fact beginning to start to know that it was that I had in fact began to start to pay my full attention on to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say to me just now.
As it was that I had in fact just so happened to have seemed to have began to have done as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when he just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak on over towards me, all at once, at that. As I of course, did in fact just seem to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me in the very first place any ways, never the less.
"You ready to go out in that field Grant?" He said to me, as I saw that he did in fact have a real serious look on his face, just as soon as it was that he had in fact just said as to just what it was that he had even said to me of course, all at once. As I kind of just seemed to have gulped a little bit to my self, all at once.
As I was not all too sure if it was that I was in fact ready for just what it was that I knew that I was about to have to go out there and do, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I kind of just seemed to shiver a little bit on over towards my self at first, all at the exact same time too.
As I just seemed to stare at my friend right in to his eyes for just a little bit more time, all at once. As I almost wanted to tell him that it was that I was not all too sure. As it was that I felt like it was in fact the case for me, at that. As I felt like this was all going to go very bad for me, at that.
How ever, as it was that I saw the smile that it was that he did in fact just seem to have on his face, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to change my mind all of the sudden. As I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead all of the sudden, all at once, at that.
And I just then smiled right back on over towards him at first. As in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to begin to just nod right back on over towards him, all at once. As I let him know that it was of course, that I was in fact about to go right on ahead and speak on over towards me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have started to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to see him nod right back on over towards me. As it was clear that he was letting me know that he did in fact have his full attention on to just what ever it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards him just now.
As it was that he had in fact just seemed to have began to have started to have seen him do as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak right back on over towards him all of the sudden. As I knew that it was that he was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what ever it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards him just now, never the less.
"Yeah... I'm as ready as I will ever be..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As I held that exact same smile that it was that I did in fact have on my face long before now, as it was that I had in fact just seemed to have said as to just what it was that I had even said to him.
As it was that he had in fact just seemed to have heard me say as to just what it was that I had in fact just said to him, all at the exact same time as well. He of course did in fact just seem to stand in that exact same spot that it was that he had in fact been standing in for just a little bit more time. As in the end, he just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
And he for some odd reason or another, did in fact just seem to have his head turned away from me. As it was that he was now starting to look on over towards Peter and Denzel. Who I saw that it was that the both of them did in fact have their eyes wide, as it was that it was clear to me that they were in fact staring at me for some odd reason or another.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to stare right back at them for just a little bit of some time, at that. That was when I just then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to see that it was that Johny then did in fact turn his head back on over towards me. But this time, in stead of seeming to have a smile on his face right now.
It seemed like he just then did in fact just seem to have a very real, and a very serious look on his face right now, at that. As I just then did in fact just seem to start to see him just go right on ahead and nod on over towards me, at that. As it was clear that it was that he was about to go right on ahead and speak on over towards me, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just so happened to have seemed to have realized that it was in fact the case, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well, at that. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to nod right back on over towards him. As I let him know that it was of course, that I was in fact paying my full attention on to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me just now.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to hear his voice as it was that he did in fact just seem to start to speak to me once again. As I of course, just then did in fact just seem to start to begin to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me, all at once.
"Well... You know that means you are the leader then right? You need to hype up the team man! Not just stand there and stare at the locker room til the siren calls..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that it was that he did in fact just seem to start to roll his eyes on over towards me, just as soon as it was that he had in fact just said as to just what it was that he had even said to me, never the less, all at once, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there, and I had in fact just seemed to have stared ahead of me for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to blink my eyes a few times. As it did in fact just seem to have taken me a few seconds to really think on just what it was that he had said to me.
As it was that I knew that I had been the team captain, along with the quarterback on my old teams. As I knew that it was that he was in fact correct with just what it was that he had said. As it was that quarterback who had been the one who for the most part had in fact hyped up the team, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of was a little bit surprised as to just what it was that he had in fact even just said to me at first, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either. As I still felt like it was that most of the kids that were in fact on this team, did in fact still hate me. As I still was not all too sure as to just why that was even the case in the very first place any ways, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have breathed in quite a bit of a soft and a reluctant sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to stand my self up from off of the bench, all at the exact same time too. As I knew that I was not a bench warmer, and I was not going to let that be the case. If it was that I did in fact feel like I actually still wanted to do some thing with me life, at that.
I just then did in fact begin to start to buckle up my helmet quite a bit, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As just then, in the end, I then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once. And I then did in fact just seem to start to suddenly stare at all of the rest of the kids that were in fact in the locker room, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have seemed to have done as such a thing like that. That was when I just then did in fact seem to feel the new life seem to start to seep in to my bones, all at the exact same time too. As I knew as to just what it was that I was going to do to hype every one up, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to start to do that, all at the exact same time too. I still kind of felt like I could not help but to feel a little bit nervous, all at the exact same time as well. As in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to speak quietly on over towards Johny, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he had in fact just seemed to have seemed to begin to start to notice that it was in fact the case, all at once. He just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too, at that. And he just then did in fact just seem to start to squint his eyes on over towards me, at that. As it was clear that he was in fact still paying his full attention on to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards him just now, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have felt like it had in fact been the case all at once. I for some odd reason or another, did in fact just seem to feel a little bit better, at that. As I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to go right on ahead and speak on over towards him. As I now knew that it was of course, that he was in fact going to listen as to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards him in the very first place any ways.
"So... I just go on now?" I said to him, all at the exact same time too. As I saw him  roll his eyes right away, just as soon as it was that I had in fact just said as to just what it was that I had even just said to him. As it kind of felt like I was in fact just seeming to point out the obvious, all at the exact same time too, all at once, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have just seemed to have just seen him nod right back on over towards me how ever. That was when it just then did in fact just seem to start to hit me as to just what it was that it did in fact mean for me, at that. As I knew that the last guy that we had was not exactly the best hype man in the world, what so ever, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there, and I had in fact just seemed to have stared for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too, at that. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to breathe in another bit of a heavy sigh to my self. As I just seemed to close my eyes for just a few seconds, as I felt like I needed a little bit of some time to think on to just what it was that I should even say to all of them, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just hoped that it was that the siren was just going to sound, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either, at that. As I felt like I just wanted to get on to that field as soon as it was that was possible. As I knew that was also a terrible idea, as if it was that we had no sort of energy walking on to that field. Than it meant that this game was going to be exactly like our last one, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just so happened to have seemed to have stood there and stared for just a little bit more of some time, all at once. That was when I just then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to come to mind, as to must what it was that I felt like I should even say to them, all at the exact same time too.
As it all came back to me, as to just what it was that all had really happened to me in the last 15 months, all at the exact same time too. As it was that every thing had been going great for me, and that life was perfect. Until it was that the one play that had in fact kind of destroyed all that it was that I had coming with me.
As it was that I kind of felt like it was that it was some thing that should scare me from the fact that it was that I felt like I should ever pick up a football, all at the exact same time too, all at once, at that. As I kind of felt like I could feel it all coming back to me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had seemed to feel that calm bit of some air, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of one of the team mates, as it was that they just then did in fact just seem to start to speak to me. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to open my eyes all of the sudden, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to start to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, at that. I noticed that the guy for what ever reason or another, did in fact just seem to not have an all too happy look on his face what so ever just now, at that. As it was that he did in fact just seem to stare at me right in to my eyes, at that.
I was not bothered, and I was not phased by it what so ever how ever, all at once. How ever, I did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times, all at once, at that. As I tilted my head a little bit, all at the exact same time too.
As I felt like it was that I was in fact interested in just what ever it was that the guy did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me, all at the exact same time too. But I also knew that it was that I was in fact kind of letting him know that I was in fact paying my full attention on to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say to me just now, at that.
As it was that the guy did in fact just seem to start to notice that it was in fact the case, all at once. That was when he then did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak to me. With the same not all too happy tone of voice, all at the exact same time too. As I of course, did in fact just seem to start to begin to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me just now, never the less, at that.
"Come on man... We haven't got all day... Are you going to do it, or are you just going to go out there and make us lose another game?" He said on over towards me, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As I saw that it was that he then did in fact just seem to squint his eyes on over towards me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was clear that maybe he was right, and it was that I did in fact need to hurry up and say as to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say right now. As it was that I just seemed to all of the sudden draw a little bit of a blank on to just what it was that I had even been planning on saying, all at the exact same time too, at that, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there, and I had in fact just seemed to have stared for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then in the end, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. I then did in fact just seem to start to suddenly let out a little bit of a rough sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too.
I felt a lot of stress, and I felt a lot of anxiety on me right now, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either, never the less. As in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to dip my head a little bit low to the ground. Which I knew as to just what it was that it had in fact meant for the entire team, all at the exact same time too.
As I just then did in fact hear a few of them just groan quite a bit loud, all at the exact same time too. Which I felt like I could not blame them for what so ever, at that. As I kind of felt like it was that I had in fact just seemed to have been stupid, and I had in fact wasted plenty of time as it was already, at that, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stared at the cleats of my team mates, all at the exact same time too, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden once again hear the familiar voice of some one. As it was that it just seemed to be Johny once again, as he just seemed to begin to start to speak up to every one.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to start to see that it was in fact the case, all at the exact same time too, all at once. That was when I just then in the end, all at the exact same time as well, at that. I then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too. And I then did in fact just seem to start to look at him right in to his eyes.
Even if it was that I could tell that it was that his eyes were not on me at all just now. As it was clear to me that he was in fact looking on over towards the entire team, all at once. It still did in fact make me feel a slight bit better as to the fact that it was that I did in fact know of course. That I was in fact paying my full attention on to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over to every one just now.
As it was that I had in fact just so happened to have seemed to have began to have started to do as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden continue to hear him speak, all at the exact same time too. As I of course, did in fact just seem to start to continue to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards the whole team just now, at that, never the less.
"Guys... Give him some time... He has been through a lot..." He seemed to have said to the entire team, all at the exact same time too. As it seemed like just in that moment, as soon as it was that he had in fact just said as to just what it was that he had even said to every one, at that. That was when it just then did in fact just seem to start to click in to my head, all at the exact same time too.
As to just what it was that I should in fact say on over towards the entire team, all at the exact same time as well, all at once. As I of course just for a little bit more time, did in fact just seem to continue to stare down at the ground for just a bit more time, all at the exact same time too. But in the end, I just then did in fact crack a little bit of a smile on to my face, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, all at once, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there, and I had in fact just seemed to have stared for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too, at that. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to lift my head right back on up to the entire team, all at once. As I noticed that it was that no one was seeming to pay me any sort of attention at all any more, all at the exact same time too.
As I knew that I did in fact just need to change that, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I knew that I did in fact need to prove to every one that was in fact here just now. That it was of course, that I was in fact the leader of the team, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have started to realize that it was in fact the case all of the sudden, at that.
That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too. And I then did in fact just seem to start to get my mind and my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there and stared at the entire team for just a few more moments of some time, at that. That was when I just then in the end, all at the exact same time too. I just then did in fact just seem to start to all of the sudden begin to speak up to the entire team, very loud, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As I saw that it was that every one just then did in fact just seem to start to turn their heads on over towards me, all at the exact same time too. As it was clear to me that it was, all at the exact same time as well. That every one was in fact paying their full attentions on to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards them in the very first place any ways, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have started to have stood there and stared for just a little bit more time, at that. That was when I just then in the end, all at the exact sane time too. I did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak up very loud to them all, all at the exact same time too. As I made sure that it was that they all were in fact beginning to listen as to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards them, all at the exact same time too, at that.
"Johny is right... I have been though a lot in the last year or so... But so have you all... These is a reason that we are all in this place together right now... We all have been through shit in our lives... And we still are going through shit... This is our time to be free... This isn't about winning... This is about us knowing that we went out there, and we proved to the world that we are trying our best..."
