Shiva sighed as his Chipkali left the dining room without having her food.
"Kya zaroorat thi Chipkali pe chillane ki, Maa?" Ek glass paani hi toh maanga tha usne. Agar Dhara bhabi ya Rishita bhabi ne maanga hota toh bhi mein deta na."
"Yeh dekho, bola Petticoat Chaap ka president. Ae Shiva, waha teri biwi tujhe apne ungliyon pe nacha rahi hai aur tu naach bhi raha hai. Dekh mujhe uske kaam karne se ya paise kamane se koi problem nahi hai. Lekin woh phir wahi kar rahi hai jo usne pichli baar kiya tha. Tujhe chota dikha rahi hai. Apne kaam ka tujh par rob jama rahi hai. Yeh paison ki lalach uske sar pe chad gaya hai."
"Maa woh thak gayi thi isiliye usne paani maanga. Itne dinon se woh ghar ka saara kaam akele hi toh kar rahi hai. Toh kya hua agar usne aaj apne pati ko paani laane bol diya. Itna toh haq banta hai na uska. Aur aap toh Raavi ko bachpan se jaanti ho, usse kabhi bhi paison ka lalach nahi tha."
"Toh tu kyun subah se usse chida hua hai? Koi aur baat hai kya Shiva?" Suman asked realizing that she may have read the situation wrong. Today morning when she saw her son's unhappy face she had assumed that maybe Raavi's success was pricking him. She had no problem with Raavi working but if it bothered Shiva, then she would do anything to stop Raavi from working. But after seeing Shiva take a stand for his wife against his own mother, Suman realized that maybe she should stay away from their marital problems. After all they were now grown up adults who should be capable of solving their problems.
"Maa woh hum dono ki baat hai aur hum aapas mein nipta lenge. Par tu please uspe aisa aarop mat daal." Shiva said as he took his plate and left the dining room.
Raavi was sitting near the window, gazing at the stars, tears streaming down her pretty face.
"Ae Raavi," he called out to her gently.
"Kyun aaya hai tu yaha?"
"Woh kehte hai kisike haath se paani aur niwala nahi cheente. Bhawaan ko accha nahi lagta. Ab jaldi se khaale."
"Mujhe nahi khaana," Raavi grumbled.
"Ae Chipkali, mein jaanta hun tune aaj subah se kuch nahi khaya hai toh chup chap khaale. Samjhi tu", Shiva said as he fed her and Raavi ate without any protests because jab aapka cute pati apne haaton se aapko khilaye toh usse mana nahi karte.
"Tujhe kaise pata meine subah se nahi khaya tha?"
"Pati hu tera. Acche se jaanta hu tujhe. Mujhpar gussa thi lekin meri chinta mein tune nahi khaya hoga. Haina?", Shiva asked as Raavi nodded timidly.
"Tune bhi toh nahi khaya hoga na Shiva, yeh le tu bhi khaa le," she forwarded a morsel towards him but Shiva shook his head. "Tu khaale, mujhe bhook nahi hai." Saying so he left the room.
(On the terrace)
Shiva sat on the swing trying to gather his thoughts. Yesterday they both had a major fight where they had ended up saying the most distasteful things to each other. He knew he was wrong when he had questioned her rudely. He had repeated his mistake of not trusting her. If only he knew how to control his tongue during arguements. But her comment on his monthly income had brought back his insecurities and he had lost control over his anger.
Raavi was surprised by his behaviour and followed him to the terrace. She joined him on the swing while he was lost in his thoughts. They both sat in silence, not knowing how to start the conversation.
Shiva finally decided to break the silence."Dekh Raavi, mujhe tere kaam karne se, tere paise kamane se koi problem nahi hai. Arre ulta mein toh sabse zyada khush hu ki meri biwi mera naam roshan kar rahi hai. Aaj bhi tera sabse bada fan tera pati hai. Kal ke liye sorry, mujhe tujhpar aise sawaal nahi karna chahiye. Tu iss duniya ki sabse saaf dil aur masoom ladki hai. Shayad isiliye mein tujhe lekar itna overprotective aur over possessive hu. Darr lagta hai kahi teri iss maasoomiyat ka fayda na uthaye. Jaanta hu possessiveness ke chakkar mein tujhe hi hurt kar deta hu. Pata nahi gusse mein kuch bhi ulta seedha bol deta hu mein. Sorry Raavi, pata nahi kis muh se maafi maangu but please apne iss bandar ko maaf karde," Shiva joined his hands and looked at her with tears in his eyes.
Raavi wiped his tears placing her hand over his, "Dekh Shiva, mein jaanti hu tu mujhse bohot bohot pyaar karta hai, lekin haa tera yeh over possessiveness thoda zyada ho jaata hai. Mein yeh nahi keh rahi ki tu meri chinta chod de. Lekin mujhpe thoda toh bharosa rakh. Agar mujhe kabhi bhi kisi pe bhi doubt hua ya koi bhi problem hoga toh mein sabse pehle tujhse aake baat karlungi. Aur gusse mein toh meine bhi bohot kuch bol diya tha kal. Mujhe woh ek mahine ki kamai wali baat nahi karni chahiye thi. Mujhe pata hai tu ussbaat se bohot hurt hua hoga na. I am really sorry Shiva. Please teri iss Chipkali ko maaf karde," she hugged Shiva.
He wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer as she nuzzled her face against his chest inhaling his scent. How much had she missed him, his hugs, his scent, his warmth, his love, his everything. She had missed her Shiva, her Bhootnath. He kissed her hair and closed his eyes, savouring this moment, he had missed having her in his arms, kissing her, loving her, he had missed his Raavi, his Chipkali.
"I promise you Chipkali ainda agar koi bhi problem aaye toh pehle mein tujhse baat karke sort out karunga."
"And I promise you ki chaahe mein jitna bhi busy hu, tere saath waqt bitaane ke liye, tere saath baatein karne ke liye mein waqt dhoond lungi. Aur tujhse koi baat nahi chupangi."
"Waise Shiva mere paas na ek idea hai, kyun na hum kuch dinon ke liye kahi ghoomne jaaye. Sirf tu aur mein, na family na social media ke tante na store ka koi stress. Hum dono sirf aur sirf ek dusre ko time denge. Waise bhi hum kabhi honeymoon pe bhi toh nahi gaye," Raavi said shyly.
"Accha, toh ab meri chipkali biwi ko honeymoon pe jaana hai," smirked Shiva as Raavi turned red with embarrassment. "Lekin idea accha hai, mein kal hi Gaumbi ko bol dunga ur phir tickets bhi book kar doonga."
"Shiva tu Gaumbi se directly kaise bol sakta hai ki hum honeymoon pe jaane wale hai. Woh kya sochenge humare baare mein."
"Kya sochenge matlab? Apni biwi ke saath honeymoon pe ja raha hu, Kanta Kaki ke saath nahi. Lekin tu yeh toh bata de tujhe jaana kaha hai."
"Jaana toh mujhe bohot saari jagah gai Shiva. Paris ka Eiffel tower dekhna hai, Maldives ke beaches pe jaana hai, Singapore ke flower gardens mein jaana hai. Tu bata kaha jaa sakte hai."
"Raavi ji lekin Paris aur Maldives jaane ka kharcha dega kaun, teri maasi aur meri maa dono bohot kanjoos hai. Toh aisi jagah jaana padega jo humare savings ke budget mein fit ho. Ek kaam karte hai Somnath ke aas paas mein ek accha sa resort book kartr hai. Aur hume kaunsa bahar ghumne jaana hai, hum toh pura din room mein hi toh honge," he smirked as Raavi looked blankly at him until she realized what he was hinting at.
"Chee Shiva kitna besharam hai t....aee Shiva neeche utaar mujhe agar kisine dekh liya toh kaand ho jayega," Raavi squealed because Shiva had now picked her up bridal style and was twirling her around.
"Apni biwi ke saath romance karne mein kaisi besharmi. Mein kya kehta hu honeymoon ki practice aaj se hi shuru kar dete hai, hai na," he winked as he took her to their room.
