We'll see the light again

CHAPTER4

I do as he say and get in the back. Ben gets behind the steering wheel and starts driving. But we don't get too far as the car is stopped by a soldier. Ben stops the car and rolls down the window. I do my best to look scared. 

''Where to?''

''Concetration camp''

The soldier looks at me so, i look down.

''She's a pretty one''

''Yeah, she is''

As she says that, i raise my eyes and look in the rewiew mirror. Our eyes meet and i kind of get the feeling that he really meant it. But who am i kidding? I know that he would never like me.

''You can go now''

Says the man, finally letting us go. Ben starts to drive. We drive until we can't see the soldiers anymore, then Ben stops the car. 

''I think, you can come back here''

I go in the front, the passenger's seat. 

''I'll untiy your hands''

I turn my back at him so, he could untiy my hands. While he's untying my hands his fingers brushes against mine, making me feel butterflies in my stomach. When he's done, i turn back to him. 

''Thanks''

''No problem''

Ben starts the car again and starts driving.

After about 30 minutes of driving we pass a cafe. That reminds me about food and my tummy strats to grumble. Only it brumbled too loud.

''I take is as a sign that you want to eat''

He says while chuckling. 

''Yeah''

I say embarrassed.

''Well, then let's stop and eat''

''Ok''

We park the car in the cafe's parking lot. It's not a surprise to me that when we go in there's not a single soul. 

''Wow, you really did get everyone''

''Pretty much, yeah''

We find some food and start eating. I take a bite of a burger that i found. 

''Ugh so good''

I feel Ben's eyes on me. 

''What?''

''Nothing, just''

He comes closer and wipes the corner of my lips with his thumb. We look into each other's eyes. There's this weird tension between us. It's weird, but at the same time comfortable. He leans in, i lean in. Until our lips finally meet. The kiss is sweet and passionate. I close my eyes and enjoy every bit of it. He deepens the kiss by pulling me closer to himself. But then something woke inside me. There's this voice at the back of my head, screaming for me to stop. I lightly push Ben away from me. 

''No, we can't, t-this isn't right''

BEN'S POV

''What are you doing to me?''

I thought to myself as i look at the girl peacfully sleeping next to me. She's snugling in my jacket, that i gave to her earlier. I don't know what i'm feeling or why i'm feeling like this, but i promise to protect her with everything i got. Me wanting to know more about these feelings is the whole reason i stayed. The day that i had the chance to run away, i saw how sad she was and it made me sad too. And then when i see her happy, it makes me happy too.
