Chapter 1 -

It was a rainy day on the cobbles, Lily was up in her room playing with whatever kids play with now and Max was upstairs playing games on his console. David comes back in after popping to the shops and Shona thinks it's best to tell them the truth. Shona calls the kids downstairs and asks David to sit on the sofa. Lily comes downstairs first with Max following behind her and all three sit on the couch.

David: "What's the exciting news"?

Max: "Booked a holiday or something"?

Lily sits there quietly and waits for what Shona has to say. "Promise you won't get mad or upset"? Shona said. Lily whispered underneath her breath "promise". Shona takes a deep breath.

Shona: "The news is I'm pregnant"!

Lily gets all excited and hugs Shona asking what the gender of her baby is with Shona replying I don't know yet I haven't had the scan! Meanwhile Max says "congratulations you and dad did the dirty now your both having a baby together" not knowing how she really got pregnant...

As Shona heads back into the kitchen to go make herself and David a warm hot chocolate she asks David "So are you excited for the new baby"? David backs her up into a corner a little aggressively but doesn't harm her in any way and asks how she got pregnant. Shona slowly pushes David away and gets all worked up. When David does realise he messed up he told her to go sit down and he'd make the drinks then sat down with her after the drinks were made. David asked Shona again but calmly "how did you get pregnant Shona"? Shona gets all worked up again and starts to cry and David suddenly clicks on...

Shona stutters with her words.
Shona: "I.. I.. I got.."

David told her it was okay and asked her. did you get raped? Shona cuddles him tightly and cries in his arms with David hugging her back while furious at whoever did this to her and upset for Shona.

David asks Shona if she has made a statement yet and she replies with no. David tells Shona he's calling the police and she's making a statement to get the person who did this to her locked up and behind bars for life. A while after Gail arrives home from going into town for some shopping and the police knock on the floor after five minutes of Gail getting in. Gail asks whats going one and stands behind David while the police, Shona and David sit on the sofa and talk. Shona proceeds to make a statement on what happened. That the other week she went out to a bar with a few old friends from school and a man took her back to his and drugged her and raped her. She had to go in and make another statement on what he looked like to get him caught and sent to jail. David went with her while Gail stayed at home about what she had heard...

After a long afternoon in the police station Shona and David both got home. Gail had put the Lily to bed and Max was sleeping out for the night. Gail asked Shona "well are you still keeping the baby"? Shona replied.

Shona: "Yes of course I am I will bring the baby up to be loved it's not the baby's fault". Then David cuddles her from behind and kisses her on the cheek.

David: "How about we order a pizza"?

Gail: "Sounds like a plan I'll order you both go chose a movie to watch"!

--- few weeks later ---

Shona and David was getting ready for the hospital appointment to find out what gender the baby was when suddenly there was a huge loud knock on the door! Gail comes down the stairs.

Gail: "I'll get it don't you worry"... as she opens the door she goes quiet.

Shona: "Well? Who is it then"?

Gail: ".. It's the police"

Gail slowly opens the door and the police walk in asking for Shona Platt...

Shona: "Yes I'm here what is it"?

The police ask if Shona could come into the station however David butts in.

David: "Eh no sorry we're busy but we can come later if that's ok"...

One of the police: "No it's okay we can tell you here".

Shona asks what they wanted and with her surprise the police tell her they found the man who r@ped her on the run and that he'd actually been a wanted person and had been hiding from the police. Shona gasped and hugged David tightly.

David and Shona was happy knowing that the man who did this was locked up behind bars forever there was no escaping for this man at all.

They went to their baby's gender scan and found out they were having a beautiful baby boy and to celebrate they had drinks in the rovers with all their friends and loved ones but kept the gender to them selves so they could plan a gender reveal!
