In the blink of an eye 5 years passed, and Leo matured at a faster pace than his peers. While other kids were out playing he was inside working. But that all changed 2 years ago, for the very first time Leo found interest in what kids did. And the reason was simply that he had met Wendy, a smart and beautiful child from the Wu family. Once in a while, his mother would take him over to the Wu family to play. And on many occasions, David, Wendy's Godbrother would also be there playing with them.
"Leo! Little Wendy and David came to see you!" Alexia yelled, calling for her son.
Quickly finishing up what he was doing Leo rushed out of the room and dashed into the living room.
"Brother Leo!" the small girl giggled, making her way towards Leo.
"Don't run Wendy, I'll come to you," Leo stated, not wanting the girl to fall.
"Brother Leo, are you and auntie planning to move soon?" David noticed all the packed boxes.
"Oh... that... we are moving... but only for a little while! We found a doctor abroad who can help my dad come out of his coma." Leo stated.
After he had explained himself the two kids were shocked, for a while now the three families had been looking for a good doctor to help with Jackson's situation.
"Does that mean I won't get to see you anymore?! But I don't want that!!!" little Wendy exclaimed, beads of tears rolling down her cheeks.
"No, of course not... we can make video calls to him every day, or we can send letters," David stated, trying to cheer up the sobbing girl.
"I'll definitely come back... When my dad gets all better I'll come back for you," Leo stated.
Quickly after she finished crying, Wendy stuck her pinky out wanting Leo to stamp his words. Going along with her demands, Leo also stuck out his pinky and wrapped his slightly larger one on her smaller pinky.
A few weeks later the Mu family sold their house, and not long after they left for Europe. As soon as the mother and son settled down Leo made a call to the Wu family asking for Wendy.
"Brother Leo, when are you coming back?" Wendy asked the minute she received the phone from her mother.
"After my dad gets better," Leo answered, patiently speaking to Wendy.
As years passed the two never lost contact with each other, when Wendy turned 18 her parents decided that it was time for them to get a car of her own. That very night she made a phone call to Leo expressing how happy she was.
"Did you receive my gift yet?" Leo asked, as his deep soft voice penetrated through the phone.
"Gift? I don't remember getting anything... wait I'll go ask my mom and dad," after saying that she headed downstairs looking for her parents.
Not long after her search, she noticed a big box outside.
"Is the big box from you?" Wendy asked, pointing the camera at the large box.
"Go look," Leo stated, causing the suspense to increase.
After placing her phone down, Wendy walked towards the box cautiously. When she opened the box she noticed a man standing there holding a bouquet of roses, immediately recognizing him Wendy threw herself in his arms.
"When did you get back?" Wendy asked, looking up at the much older version of Leo.
"I came today but got in the box a little before you came home. Aunty and Uncle helped me with the plan, without them I don't think I would've been able to carry this out myself." Leo explained.
"So does this mean Uncle Mu is all better now?" Wendy asked.
"He's all better, he and my mom will come back later. I wanted to come back early so I devised this plan.
"Did you meet with brother David yet?" Wendy asked.
"Not yet, let's go inside first it's getting cold." Leo urged.
As soon as the two got inside Mrs. Wu greeted them with a warm smile and a cup of hot cocoa.
"Dinner will be done in 15 minutes, why don't the two of you invite David over? I'm sure he would want to come over and catch up." Amanda suggested.
"I already sent him a message, he said that he would come as soon as his classes were done," Leo stated.
Not long after David came carrying multiple bags of presents for Wendy. Seeing that David had brought lots of presents for Wendy, Leo stood up and made his way outside. Not long after he came back carrying multiple items.
"What is this a competition of who can give me the most gift?" Wendy asked, slightly stunned.
"Those are not all from me, your fans along with my parents wanted me to give this to you..." David stated.
"What about you what's your excuse?" Wendy asked looking over at Leo.
"This is for all the birthdays that I missed out on," Leo stated, not making any excuses.
"So are you back for good brother Leo?" David asked.
"Yeah, my dad's treatments went well. My parents will come back next week, but I came back early to look for a house," Leo explained.
"If you're looking for a house Wendy can help you, she owns a real estate company that does really well. Not only that it seems that she has also started doing architecture." David suggested.
"Oh yeah I can help with that, for the time being, why don't you stay over at brother David's place? Mother and Father wouldn't mind right brother?" Wendy asked.
"That's fine with me, are you alright with that brother Leo?" David asked, wanting to know his opinion.
"That's fine by me if Auntie and uncle allow it," Leo stated.
"Kids it's time for dinner, oh Danny when did you get here?" Joshua asked.
"I just got here dad, my parents said they would come later for the birthday dinner. They also said that they wanted to host a party for Little Wendy's 18th birthday,"
"Good, I'll tell your mom to get extra plates ready for them," Joshua stated, as they all made their way to the dining room.
"What did mother Wu make? I'm starving!" David exclaimed while rubbing his growling stomach.
