There was once a large and powerful nation, ruled by one family. The rulers were wise and the people were strong and they were prosperous.

No one quite knows how, but that kingdom fell into ruin. The people were divided and unrest and anger swept across the land. Many of the royal family, who tried with everything they had to fix things, were murdered. The rest fled into hiding.

People were killing each other in the streets and children were dying from starvation. It wasn't until three families took up the torch to lead the people out of despair. They split up the land into three sectors and each family ruled over a different sector. The Wang's took the East and South, the Beilshmidt's took the West, and Bonnefoy's took the North.

Peace had finally come to the lands.

The families reigned for one hundred years. They did not call themselves royals, out of respect for the royal family, but they held the highest positions of command in each sector.

The newest Lords observed the lands closely. They realized that each prospered in different ways. Fánróng, the Wang's jurisdiction, was prosperous with many people and good academics. Elysia, the Beilshmidt's jurisdiction, was blessed with strong military and was very advanced in technology. Chanceux, the Bonnefoy's jurisdiction, was rich and held strong trading ties with other nations. While one sector prospered in one area, it was weak in a different area.

The three Lords believed that it would be the best for all their people if the lands combined. Creating a strong nation once again.

In the process of uniting, they realized one things. How would heirs work? Over time a new family would surely be the sole leader of their new kingdom. It was inevitable. If they each created separate heirs then there was bound to be blood spilt along the road.

One of the Lords suggested that they take one mate to share among themselves. Their mate would carry heirs of shared blood. They would train their children to lead and would one day pick the most suitable. They would not have to worry about one child being favored simply because of their bloodline, not when the Lords' genes would be mixed.

It was a crazy idea. After all, Alphas are territorial and do not take kindly to other Alphas around their mate. Three Alphas sharing the same mate is unthinkable, but not impossible.

With the unification nearly complete, the search for a suitable mate was on. And a suitable mate was indeed found.

An Omega, not from either sector, was found and the three Lords deemed the Omega worthy. Marriage and mating were quickly done and it was not much longer until the Omega had become pregnant. Pregnant with the first child of unified blood.

The people were joyous, as this was seen as a good omen of a better future. Once the child was born, the lands and the people would be officially united.

While the Lords were well known and often seen in the towns, very few had the pleasure of seeing the Omega, but those who did spoke about the angelic beauty of the Omega. Talk of how this angelic Omega was lucky and blessed to have been taken in by their gracious Lords could be heard everywhere. Many assumed that the Omega must be living the most glamorous life one could live. How could an Omega ever be so lucky?

They couldn't.
