Sherbert Oliver Fable

Sherbert woke up to the noise of Rae yelling for them to get up.  They slowy got up slipping on their jacket and goggles.  Rae was making breakfast as they glanced at Athena who was following Sherbert down the stairs.
        "Goodmorning you two." Rae sighed trying to not burn the food.
        Athena looked at Sherbert. "Are you going to go running today Sherb?"
        Sherbert looked at Athena and nodded. "Yes I need to be the fastest person in the town since Centross beat me" Sherbert grumbled.
        Rae chuckled some and put the food on Plates passing them out. "I heard there was someone new who moved in next door with some kids maybe you'll make friends with them Athena." He looked at Sherbert. "I'm expecting you to finally get along with neighbors Sherb you need to stop driving them off with your fantasies."
        Sherbert sighed a bit and began to eat the food mumbling in between bites. "Fiiiiine...I'll try to get along with the neighbor this time."
        Athena laughed a bit. "But Sherbert's fantasies are the interesting thing around here including the drawing skills!"
        Rae frowned and rubbed his temples. "Athena I know you like the stuff Sherb does but atleast find something else to do beside make their ego bigger."
       Athena pouted some and looked at Sherbert. "You can't let Rae do this to me Sherb please say something!"
        Sherbert finished their food putting the plate in the sink. "Okay I'm going out for a run than I'll come back." They slid their shoes on and went outside breathing in the country air.  It was a kinda small town perse but there was a lot to do. Sherb headed for the cow pasture walking past Charles the chicken who followed.
        Athena ran outside to watch Sherbert run and cheer them on.  They didn't worship Sherb just admired in a way about them running and their drawings.
        Sherbert took off their shoes knowing the wouldn't need them to run.  They jumped over the fence walking past Bessie the cow patting her head.  They bent down into the professional runners pose and whispered to themselves. "Bang." They took off running their jacket flowing in the air behind them as they ran.  Sherb was running pretty fast they had been practicing to beat Centross to become the fastest in the town.
         Athena cheered Sherbert on as they ran around the cow pasture. "Go Sherbert woooo you can do it!!" He noticed the neighbor was taking things out of the moving truck and had stopped to watch Sherbert.
         Sherbert looked at the new neighbor instantly falling for them (quite literally).  They messed up their footing and took a tumble.  Sherb just laid there thinking they imagined what they just saw was a dream.  No one could be that pretty right? Right?!
        Athena ran inside the house quickly and a bit panicked. "Rae Sherbert fell while running and they didn't get back up right after!!!"
        Rae looked at Athena and darted outside in a hurry opening the cow pen gate then closed it jogging up to Sherb.  He checked for any injuries before getting them out of the trance they were in. "Sherb???!"
         Sherbert looked at Rae before snapping out of it.  They shot up and looked around confused on where the pretty lady went. "I saw a pretty lady Rae...but I think it was just deja vu."
        Charles walked up to Sherbert clucking and pecked at their toes.
        Sherbert jumped back. "Charles not again!!!!!" They ran back to the house but not before cleaning their feet off and putting the shoes back on. 
       Rae knew they couldn't afford much even with Caspian working.  Speaking of Caspian where was he, he should've been home by now. Rae stopped that thought as the truck pulled into the Driveway and stopped turning off.  He walked over to the truck looking at his boyfriend getting out.
       Caspian looked at Rae smiling slightly and stretching. "Hello Rae what has happened?"
        Rae chuckled slightly.  "Sherbert tripped while running and proclaims to have seen a pretty lady which I think is our new neighbor.  I'm going to have Sherbert try to not scare the new neighbors away with their crazy ideas like all the other times."
       Caspian laughed a bit and closed the truck door.  "I'm sure Sherbert just had a wave of deja vu or something from running so much."
       "Or Sherbert called the new neighbor pretty and will probably not scare her away." Rae sighed. "I don't want to loose someone again who seems like a good neighbor."
        Caspian nodded. "We'll just have to wait and see than Rae but come on I know you made breakfast for me and you too not just Athena and Sherbert."
        "Okay Ghosty let's go than." Rae smiled and headed inside Caspian following them inside to eat.
