I woke up, and I didn't feel wet. Well a little damp, and I wasn't under the rain, I was in... A dry room.

I couldn't open my eyes, but I realized that I wasn't in my wet Jacket and my other wet clothes, but I wasn't naked.
"She's waking up!" I heard a female voice exclaim.
"How can you be sure, she isn't opening her eyes." A male voice says.
"But she just moved!"

I was kinda freaking out, who are these people? Hold up, I'm on a bed, what the... I opened my eyes slightly and closed them again, groaning. The light is still blinding.
"Dylan, lower the light and light a candle , I think she doesn't like the light." The female voice said. I guess the male listened cause the I couldn't see the light through my eyelids anymore. I opened my eyes completely now.

The room was White with a pink stripe through it, and there were pictures and paintings all over the room, the bed had pink bedding and white pillows and some stuffed animals, cute. And there was a flat screen tv in the corner, I've never seen one before, and a closet next to it and next to it was a girl and a guy.

The girl had light brown hair, wearing a purple onsie and her hair in a pony tail, her eyes were big and brown. And the guy was way taller then her, but pretty identical,he is very handsome, with brown eyes, light brown hair , but he had black sweats and a white tank.

"We won't hurt you" the girl said. I was still looking around the room, out the window, looked like the sun would be rising in any minute.
"Are you okay?" She asked. I nodded nervously. I'm completely confused.

"I'm Ximena." She introduced herself as she walked closer. "And that's Dylan, what's you name?"

"Diane" I told her. I'm going to go simple with this, not making them think I was a lunatic.
"Where am I, exactly?"
"Well, we found you near Van Drive, and then we took you home, and right now we are washing your clothes, why were you , on the streets? Not asking if your homeless or anything, we barely see homeless here, they all have their shelters." Ximena said. So I did go through that path, I am in South Calico!

"Just a mishap, Im not homeless."I said uncertain. Should I tell them I'm from North Calico? Dylan left the room, perhaps I said something wrong.

Ximena sat next to me.
"Can you tell me what happened? I will totally understand, you look paler than when we found you.. What's up?" She kept asking. I take a deep breath.. I don't want her to feel anything about me from North Calico, she may freak or she might send me to the authorities.

"This may be hard to believe.... Me, as a very curious person.. I came from a town to explore here, it's quite lovely." I say slowly. Ximena looked awfully confused then understood what I had said.

"What town?" She asks, calm down Diane just get on with it, don't feel regret of where you are from, these are very nice people that actually saved you from being trampled over anyway..

"North Calico.." I murmur. Ximena's smile fades, she walks away from me and holds a lamp.

"DONT YOU DARE HURT ME TERRORIST!!" She began to yell.
"XIMENA SHUT UP WITH YOUR STUPIDITY!" I heard Dylan call from the hallway I believed. I stood up and backed away from Ximena.

"Easy there... I won't hurt you, unlike other people that would." I say trying to calm her down.. She did actually, she put down the lamp and returned the name calling with Dylan.

"Are you sure?? Because a lot of people say that North Calicans talk horrible to us ,that they want to stop trading next month." Ximena explains to me.
"Of course I won't hurt you, why would I anyway? You and that guy act a bit nicer than the people I know back at home." I tell her referring to Brandon.

"Dylan can be a bit of a Douche Bag but he still is my big brother." Ximena starts to explain what South Calico does daily. She talks about the cultures they have; A group of people dance and sing on the street every Saturday nights, that they hold festivals every month and dances held every week.

"That's pretty intense for people like me, we never go out on the weekends, it's forbidden. We only wear gray or black clothes everyday, last week or so, I think, they banned a lot of song genres. Curfews are very early, no cell phones until 20 of age yet that rule sometimes doesn't matter, teenagers are not allowed to play sports unless their school allows it, yea, that's not even half of what I do." I tell her.

"Don't worry Diane, you will love South Calico!" Ximena says with a smile.
