{Chapter 27}
Daisy woke up the next morning to find Kai laying on top of her. He sensed that she was pregnant and immediately went into protective mode. Daisy pet his head a bit, before gesturing for him to get up so she could get up. The human and dog walk downstairs to hear coughing, making Daisy frown and rush down the stairs. She walked into the kitchen to see her mother pale with a red, runny nose.
"Mom! Are you alright?!" Daisy asked with concern
Melinda sighed and shook her head, not bothering to hide it. Daisy grabbed her mother by the shoulders and led her to the couch to lie down. She placed a blanket over her mother before grabbing her phone.
"Who are you calling?" Melinda asks weakly as she couldn't raise her voice
Daisy ignored her and pressed call on the number she had selected. Melinda rolled her eyes as her daughter didn't answer.
The person who Daisy had called answered, "Hello?"
Daisy smiled knowing he would answer, "Hey Hotch."
Melinda heard the name and sat up, trying to take the phone from her, but Daisy pushed her back down on the couch.
"So, my mom is sick." Daisy tells him
Aaron frowned at the thought of the woman sick and knew he needed to check up on her.
"I'm on my way."
Daisy frowned before realizing he hung up on her and scoffed.
"What did he say?" Melinda asked with her head leaned back against the couch
"He said he's on his way." Daisy tells her mother as she forcefully laid her back down
Melinda didn't see the need for him to come over as he had to work. The doorbell goes off making Melinda groan in pain at her migraine. Daisy walked to the door and opened it to reveal Aaron and Jack.
"Hey, Hotch! Jack!" Daisy greeted them before pulling Jack into the kitchen
Aaron walked in and immediately walked over to Melinda's weak state on the couch.
"Hey. You alright?"
He knelt down and placed a hand on her cheek and she hummed, leaning into it as it was nice and cool.
