"Scott, man. Are you for real?" Alex asks the tall blonde. Scott nods confidently before striding into the local Sephora store to pick up his makeup. "Well I'm waiting out here." Alex says after Scott. He wouldn't be caught dead in a makeup store. He doesn't really understand why his friend needs makeup. He's handsome as it is.
Scott walks in and sees there's only two other people in the store. Perfect. He walks up to the register and sees the brunette hair peeking out from underneath the counter.
"Hey Kirst. You got my stuff?" Scott asks teasingly. The brunette head pops up and Scott realizes his mistake. Oh crap.
"Can I help you?" The male cashier asks. Scott studies his face before turning on his heel and racing out of the store. Scott grabs Alex's hand and drags him a safe distance away to a Journey's Underground.
"Jesus Christ, Scott. What is it?!" Alex asks, yanking his arm from Scott's grip. "Shush." Scott says, dropping behind a display case. Scott drags Alex down with him but Alex just pops right back up. "Scott. What is this?" Alex asks again.
"Kirstie wasn't there. Someone else was and he was gorgeous. Holy God." Scott breathes. "That he is Scottie boy. That he is." Alex says, referring to Scott's last little sentence.
"Uh sir?" Scott and Alex turn around to see the brunette from the store. Scott immediately stands up to his full height and towers over the small boy. "Yeah?" Scott asks. "Are you Scott? Kirstie asked me to give you this. She was taking a day off." Scott rolls his eyes internally. Yeah. The one day I was going to get my makeup she's taking a day off. And today would just happen to be the day after she tried to hook me up with a guy in the mall. Sure. Okay.
The brunette holds out an opaque bag with the Sephora symbol on it. Scott nods and takes it from him hesitantly.
"Uh... Sorry for like running out back there." Scott apologizes, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. The brunette nods and laughs at the blonde giant's awkwardness. "It's okay." The brunette says.
"I'm Mitch." The brunette introduces himself. "Scott." Scott returns. Mitch nods and smiles, gazing at Scott. Scott's eyes roam the small boy's body before meeting his eyes. His gorgeous, chocolate eyes.
"And I'm Alex. In case anyone forgot I was here." Alex says, breaking the connection between the two boys. Scott laughs awkwardly before nodding. "Yeah. This is my friend Alex." Scott introduces. Mitch nods, but his eyes stay locked on Scott's.
"I...uh...I have to get back to the store. It's only me today. But..." Mitch holds his hand out and curls his fingers back and forth. Scott looks at him confused. "Your phone?" Mitch suggests. His face contorts into one of realization and embarrassment. Alex and Mitch take one look at the red faced blonde and start laughing.
"Hey!" Scott says, retrieving his phone from his back pocket. He hands it over to Mitch before letting his embarrassment show on his blushed face.
Mitch smirks at the flustered man in front of him before entering his number into Scott's phone. He adds two little hearts next to the name: Mitchie Grassi. He locks it again before handing it back to Scott. Scott smiles at the brunette.
"Um...thanks. For the uh...stuff." Scott thanks the shorter boy. Mitch giggles before responding. Wow. I wish I could hear that all the time. Scott thinks. "You're welcome." Mitch leans in closer to Scott to whisper in his ear.
"Just next time... Maybe you could stay a while."
