Sophia didn't have a bathing suit so she borrowed again from Mrs. Jancie and got a one piece to swim in. It was a light, floral pink and fit Sophia perfectly and according to Mrs. Jancie it looked better on Sophia, too.
Both boys were where wearing their swim trunks and showed their fit stomachs. Once sunscreen was applied, they all jumped into the pool from the deep end.
The water was nice a cool, great for the hot summer weather like they were all in, and it had a salty taste. It took Sophia sometime to get the hang of swimming with legs but she was a fast learner. They all swam in the water, playing games and doing some freestyle swimming until the sun was about to go down.

Soon the moon rose in the sky, and Daniel and Sophia were the only ones night swimming. But something felt different for Sophia, she looked at her legs in the water, which were disappearing into a mermaid tail. A whirlpool covered the whole pool as Sophia tranformed into a mermaid.
Daniel was in shock that Sophia turned into a mermaid but wasn't that surprised. Soon, the whirlpool died down and the pool water was as it was before. Sophia gave a grin Daniel but he crossed his arms and walked toward her.
"So, when were you planning to tell me that you were a mermaid, huh?" He asked her still his arms crossed.
"Well...the thing here is...uhm" Sophia didn't know how to explain to him.
"I didn't even know this was going to happen. Wait, tonight's a full moon, right?" She asked him.
"Yes, but what does that matter?"
"Well, in legend mermaids kind of get an upgrade on their tail every full moon. Which would explain why my tail is like different." Sophia looked at her tail in awe because it transformed into a shimmer pearl white.
"It's beautiful." Daniel said looking in her eyes and touched the tail.
