Their flashlight lighting up the dark corridors of the temple as Long's night vision of the suit he had added with the use of one of his chips. As they looked around.
"Hurry Stark. The trigger to the secret chamber must be hidden close by. You're not even looking!" Gene said.
"At this point I believe he doesn't care." The armoured makluan muttered from behind them.
"Well, call me crazy, but I don't exactly want you to find all ten rings and conquer the planet Gene." He said as he touched one of the walls.
"I see where your son get his arrogance." He began slipping the one of rings on. "Refuse to help me, and you'll never see Tony again." A blinding light dispersed out as the Mandarin stood there. "I have had enough! The sixth ring lies beyond this wall."
"And no doubt a pedestal is sitting there right for me if Gene and Stark dies." Long murmured to himself but Stark was still able to hear.
With that the Mandarin blasted a hole in the wall before the Mandarin turned to Stark, "You first, old man, just in case there are any... traps."
With that Stark entered first but almost instantly setting off a trap where knives were thrown in his direction. The Mandarin pushed him back as he swiped at the oncoming knives before obliterating them. Stark had landed on him back near the hole the where the makluan stood there seemingly analysing his claws.
"Real noble of you, Gene. Maybe next time, the one wearing the magic rings goes first." Stark spoke snidely.
"I'd hold your tongue, Stark." The servant spoke threateningly as he made it to his master's side as they looked at the beast imprisoned in a substance.
"Behold! The Mandarin has found it!" Looking upon the deformed creature. "The sixth guardian!"
"Gene, the Island natives call this thing The Melter. Do you really think it's a good idea to wake it up?" (Stark)
"Silence Stark. I must defeat it to claim the sixth Makluan ring!" With that a light escaped out of the rings as Long hopped upon a pedestal ready to watch what would occur.
Time skip
Stark watched as the grotesque monstrosity made its way to him, "Step away, Stark!" The Mandarin called as the creature almost touched him a blinding light dispersed in-front of it stoping as Stark gasped before looking at the Mandarin.
Who held his hand out as it flowed before the light disappeared. "Well... I guess I should thank you for saving my life..." Stark began to walk up to him. "Except you dragged me into this to begin with!"
"Oh be quiet, Stark. Your alive, are you not? Isn't that the point." Long said as he place his hands on Stark's shoulders before looking up at the Mandarin.
"I do not care about your life, only your knowledge, Stark. But as of now all I care about is this." The Mandarin spoke lifting up the sixth ring. "The sixth Makluan ring!" With that he slipped it on and it began to glow an orange colour before firing down. "Six down... four to go. And then the world belongs to the Mandarin."
With that he lifted up his right fist causing a blinding white light with flecks of orange to appear. Blocking off all sight of them.
