"val in my office. now!" lucien exclaimed from the doors that lead into studio three. the studio where valentine was attempting some new tricks she had seen online. she quickly grabbed her yellow flip flops and ran after lucien (her coach) to his office.
once she reached the office the studio owner beckoned her in. she closed the door behind her before sitting in the chair that was placed infront of the desk. lucien clapped his hands together and looked at the brunette infront of him. lucien then smiled at the girl which was something that freaked her out. lucien never smiled unless he was up to something not very good.
"i want you to come with me and 11 other dancers to the next step" he told her. valentine just started at him, completely and utterly confused by his statement.
"excuse me" she said finally finding the courage to say something. lucien slightly rolled his eyes at her confusion.
"i bought the next step from kate and the only way for her to get it back is to get seven of her twelve dancers on the internationals team. this is a competition and i want to win. i also want you to be one of my twelve dancers as you are one of my strongest so you're coming with me and auditioning for- and winning- a spot on that internationals team. dismissed" he said before waving her out. valentine quickly ran out of the office and went to find her best friend at her studio. abi.
she found the blonde practising what looked like a solo in the ballet studio as this was one of the only studios with mirrors at the front and side allowing you to see your move and perfect it from any angle.
"oh hey val." abi said as she finished her turn sequence. valentine walked up to the girl.
"hey abi. i have a question for you."
"shoot"
"has lucien called you into his office at all?" she asked as the two sat down in the cold floor.
abi nodded causing valentine to let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
"about the internationals team thing at the next step. yeah i'm going. you better be" she said smiling at her best friend. valentine nodded eagerly causing the girl to laugh.
"thank god. i love this team but i can't audition for another team without you" she said sincerely. valentine hugged her best friend thankfully to have someone like her at the studio.
"it's getting late.i best be heading home" val said as she gathered her dance bag from the corner of the room. abi stood up also and walked over to dance bag also and placed it over her shoulder before grabbing her waterbottle.
"i best be out too. big day tomorrow am i right" she joked as the two made their way out of the studio back to their homes ready for two days filled with intense competition.
