"What is love?" The question from their philosophy teacher sparked a discussion among the 12th graders.
"Is it like a drug? highly addictive yet self destructive? A breath, a whisper, a still? Can there be a movement that neither moves nor needs to move but nevertheless fulfills its purpose?" Their teacher added, which had them scratching their heads.
"Could someone explain what love means to them?" Many hands were up as their teacher asked, eager to share their opinions with the class.
"Yes, Mr. Kim, mind sharing your thoughts?" Their professor called.
"Love is painful, but we somehow get numb to it when we don't want to let someone go," The student answered, earning applauds from everyone.
But someone seems to disagree, another hand was raised, catching the professor's attention.
"Yes, Mr. Jeon?" He called the student.
"I'd very much like to differ from Taehyung's answer," He said, "Love shouldn't be painful, it should be beautiful, there's no love if it's painful" He added with a smug look on his face.
"Love can be painful, Jungkook, cause you can still be in love with someone when they clearly don't want to be with you anymore, but you become numb to it because you can't let them go" Taehyung replied, defending his earlier statement.
"Then, that's not love! It's just pain!" Jungkook replied.
By that point the two has started a debate, the whole class enticed, their teacher watching the monstrosity happen before his very eyes.
"Well, I think you both should—" Their teacher was interrupted.
"Are you crazy?!" Taehyung shouted, interrupting their teacher.
"I think you're crazy! It's not love! It's just pain!" Jungkook defended.
"What the hell?! Have you never been in love?!" Taehyung shouted
"We'll have you?!" Jungkook asked back
"No! But at least I know what love is!" Taehyung shouted in return.
"Do you want me to make you feel what love is?! And then I break your heart and let's see if there's still love?!" Jungkook shouted back.
"I would never date a dog bowel like you!" Taehyung replied
"I wouldn't date a giraffe barf like you either!" Jungkook retorted.
The insults were rather confusing, as the two tried their best not to say foul words to avoid getting detention.
But it seems like it was too late for that, as their rather pissed psychology teacher has lost his mind.
"You two! Out of this room and off to detention!" He shouted, leaving the two shocked.
They had no choice but to obey, they'd only get into more trouble if they didn't.
