Guys this is so weird to be writing in this set up style again- ANYWAYS. NEW CONTENT FINALLY LMAO. I hope you guys enjoy and that this isn't too terrible of a piece, I kinda struggled (no, I really struggled I'm not gonna lie) to get back into the swing of things here. The writing style might be a bit different and I'm sorry if it's super noticeable, me being gone this long has guaranteed a change in how I write (it's driving me bonkers but hopefully it's fine for you guys qwq).

This is not edited! By the time I finished writing I just wanted to be done with this chapter- Sorry for any mistakes!

Tommy's POV

Nothing like going out to the mall for some harmless shoplifting with your best friends who a few hours prior you weren't even really on speaking terms with.

I glance over at Toby idly, watching him struggle to tie his shoes. It was a bit amusing and slightly endearing with how his tongue peaked out between his lips.

I rolled my eyes as he swears at his shoelace. The inflexible b*tch couldn't even touch his toes, of course he's gonna have a hard time bending over to tie his shoes.

He finally relents and drops to one knee so he can actually reach the laces properly. This time I can't help but laugh at him and he pops back upright, glaring at me.

"Shut up," he says before I even have a chance to open my mouth.

"Chill man, I haven't even said anything yet."

"You were going to," he says, accusatory. I don't even bother denying it.

"Leave him alone Toms."

"Yeah, leave me alone." Toby sticks his tongue out. I reluctantly don't say anything back, not with Ry supporting him, and just stick my tongue out back."

"You have something you wanna snatch?" I ask the two of them as we sit down at the fountain.

Okay, look. We weren't criminals. But like... dude, sh*t has not been going well recently. You can't blame us, or well, at least me, for feeling a little bit desperate okay? If one wants to buy something, they have to have money. We... don't really have money. Stealing a meal or two really wouldn't cause that much harm to a store. It's not like we do it often enough to make it detrimental. My morals are f*cked anyways.

Now, for sensible blokes like Ry who actually have what must be a normal moral compass, it's a lot harder to convince him to snatch some quick sh*t and run.

"I don't think trying to grab anything from here today is wise," Ry says, fiddling with the top button of his shirt. "I don't know if you noticed but the mall security is definitely higher than it normally is."

He's right (he usually is).

"D'you think it's because of the rise in gang activity?" Toby asks.

"Probably." I nod. It would make sense. The activity has been getting worse recently, but that was probably because security had been becoming admittedly lax. Maybe it'll go back down with the security upping in places like the Minecraft Mall.

"Where do we go then?" Toby asks, looking at Ry.

He shrugs. "We could try the gas station on the corner of fifth. They have a decent selection and cigarettes." He gives me a pointed look.

I just grin. "Sounds good by me bossman!"

"Oi, don't steal my nickname."

"Wasn't yours in the first place Tubs."
