And there I stood near the crater. Smoke everywhere, blinding me. I didn't know what to expect...

--[Aris]--

"Hey Aris?" My friend Alex looks at me, "What are your thoughts on aliens?"I took a moment to think. To be honest, it never really crossed my mind about life outside of earth. "I don't know. Interesting I suppose..."

"What would you do if you met one?"

"It depends of course. If it was trying to kill me, I would beat the shit out of it with my baseball bat of course." Alex laughed, "Of course you would." He smiled.

--

Life is... Boring. Well for me it is. All my life I've done nothing but wake up, shower, eat, hang out with Alex, go on the internet, and sleep. The cycle goes on and on! For once I would like something awesome to happen. I don't know what but something EXCITING! But knowing my life, nothing is going to change, whatsoever. I sigh and grab my TV remote to change the channel.

"There's nothing good to watch..." I say to myself, frustrated.

My phone suddenly begins to ring. All Night by Parov Stelar began to play. I loved that song so much. I picked up the phone and looked at the screen. It was Alex.

"What's up?" I said. "The ceiling." Alex snickered. "Oh my god, you little shit." We both laughed for a bit. It took me a while to stop but I eventually did. "Okay no but really, Alex." He cleared his voice. "Alrighty, well you know Ed, right?"

I thought for a second, "Uh... Yeah. The blond dude, right?"

"Yeah. Anyways, today he got beat up by a whole bunch of dudes. I felt super bad for him but if I went against those guys, I would be fucked."

"Poor Ed. When did this happen?"

"After school. It happened while I was walking home."

"Were there others nearby?"

"Nope." I felt really bad for him, he's always getting picked on because of his appearance. I don't understand why though. If he likes to wear purple eye-shadow and have a girl-ish look, let him! He's really nice too which makes it even sadder. A part of me wants to know him more but he's always flooded with a bunch of girls.

Oh well.

"Um Aris?" Alex said in a concerned voice. "O-Oh sorry. I zoned out." He laughed, "Like always. It's okay. Oh hey also the new issue of ho-"

BAM!

Everything shook around me. "W-What the!" I said, all objects around me falling to the ground. I dropped the phone in shock, I was terrified! I didn't know what the heck was going on! "Aris!? Is everything okay?! Are you okay!?" Alex said through the phone.

Quickly, the rough shaking stopped.

I fell down, trembling. I swiftly grab the phone. "Aris! Aris, answer me goddamn it!" Alex was worried. "D-Did you feel that!?" I asked, really nervous. "Feel what!?" I slowly got up, still anxious from the earthquake. "The earthquake of course!"

"What? But we don't get earthquakes around here!" I got upset. "WELL IF WE DON'T GET EARTHQUAKES AROUND HERE, WHY THE FUCK DID EVERYTHING SHAKE SO VIOLENTLY!?" My voice snarled.

"I DON'T KNOW! Maybe something landed nearby? check around your house!" He grunted.

I ran to the backyard window. Something did landed.

"I'll be right back..."

"Huh?"

I put down the phone and ran to my room, instantly grabbing my flashlight and baseball bat. I then hurried to the backyard.

Cough Cough

Smoke was everywhere! I pointed my flashlight and faintly saw a hole.

I slowly and carefully walked near the opening. And there I stood near the crater. Smoke everywhere, blinding me. I didn't know what to expect...

I coughed a bit, everything clearing out slowly. I clench the baseball bat and continued to look around with my flashlight. I soon see a figure in the crater.

The fog around me soon disappeared. I examined the crater and there I saw-

A regular person?

What the fuck? Isn't this suppose to be an alien?

Aren't aliens suppose to be some abnormal color like, gray or green or something? Because this 'alien' isn't different at all. They just look like an ordinary human!

It just didn't make any sense!

I went into the crater, trying to get a better look at this person.

They had really long black hair and a green t-shirt with blue jeans. It looked like a girl. How is this even possible? They had clothes and everything. This left me bewildered. Confused. Stumped! The person's eyes quickly opened, I jumped a bit. Their pupils flashed with anger and for a split second, fear. I stood there, panicking inside. They jumped up in a flash and went into an attack stance.

I gulped and held up my bat, preparing for them to strike. They growled at me and was about to charge but flinched. They said something in a bizarre voice. I couldn't understand a thing, then they passed out.

Thank fucking god.

I got closer, worried and terrified that they would wake up again.

They were wounded and clearly exhausted.

I wasn't sure if I should help them or not, but I couldn't just leave them here and let them kill me in my sleep.

I sighed and picked them up slowly. They were really light. I took them into my home and set them down on my bed, then went to get a first-aid kit. Maybe if I befriend them, they won't kill me! You're so smart Aris.

I tried cleaning the wounds but they would cringe or yelp when I did. It took a while but I did it.

I didn't know what to think. I had a alien in my own home! It was so strange but... Exciting! What would Alex think of this? Oh fuck I forgot about Alex!

I went back to the living room and retrieved my phone. "Hello?"

"ARIS DON'T FUCKING DO THAT AGAIN! I WAS FUCKING TERRIFIED. I THOUGHT YOU WERE KILLED OR SOMETHING! I WAS ABOUT TO CALL THE FUCKING POLICE YOU FUCKING IDIOT." His voice was hoarse, as if he's been yelling for quite a while. "I'm sorry! I just needed to check out what was in my backyard, sheesh."

"DON'T 'sheesh' ME, THERE COULD OF BEEN SOME KIND OF PSYCHO THERE OR SOMETHING. DO YOU KNOW HOW FREAKING WORRIED I WAS!?" His voice cracked. My face turned a bit red. "You were... Um... Worried about me?" Alex quickly became silent.

"Uh- Well ye-yeah! Why wouldn't I be worried about you!?" I couldn't help but smile a bit. "Aw. You care about me, hehe." Alex coughed. "Shut up."

I continued talking to Alex, telling him what happened and the person I saw. He listened carefully and asked me a whole bunch of questions like, "How did they look like?" and "Where do you think they came from?" I couldn't answer most of them. We both became quiet.

"What are you going to do with them?" Alex asked me, sounding a bit worried.

"I... Don't know." I felt anxious not knowing what to do.

What can you do with a creature who came from outer space?...

The thought bothered me.

I guess we'll find out when they wake up.
