Chapter three秘密

an update that isn't a few months later?!

You kicked your feet in the air as you laid in bed upset, tears were flowing down your face as you hugged a pillow tightly.

It was the next morning since Kunikuzushi had been officially banned from seeing you, and you couldn't do anything about it. Your brother tried his best to cheer you up last night, bringing you your favorite shrimp balls and a few board games and storybooks, but you were way past repair.

After a few attempts, your brother figured you needed some time alone, and he left you alone. Right now, he was with your mother and they were meeting his suitors, and you couldn't care less.

If you were being honest, the only thing that could cheer you up was seeing your friend again. And that thought just made you upset, punching the sheets as you whined.

After a while, a knock was heard on the door. You just sighed, knowing that whatever you responded they would come in anyway.

And you were right, the door swung open as you saw your brother. He smiled at you but in reply, you burried your face into your pillow. His smile dropped. He carried a tray of snacks with him, along with a tea set.

"You know, instead of just sulking all day, why don't you just go ahead and find him?" He asks, which you rolled your eyes at.

"Mother banned me from ever seeing him again, and now you're telling me that? Gosh, such a genius." You said sarcastically. He then chuckled, placing the tray on a small table before sitting on your bed.

"It's not the first time you'd be breaking a rule if you still did it." Your brother said, "Even though I don't support your choices of always being so stubborn. I can't handle seeing you like this, so just this once, I'll help you."

Your eyes lit up as you quickly sat up, "Really? What do you mean? How do you think we can do that?" You started bombarding him with questions as he looked at you weirdly.

"Were you crying?" He asks, then sighs.

"Uh, no?" You answered, which he then shakes his head and pulls you into a hug.

"You're totally miserable right now," He says as you rolled your eyes into the hug.

"Yeah thanks, I totally needed to know that." You replied as he only laughed.

"I guess now I know that it's true friendship." He mumbled, as you were about to get mad at him for doubting it. He stood up and clapped his hands. "Okay, so here's how it goes— you escape through the window." That's all he says before walking to the door, hand ready to turn the knob.

You quickly chased after him, holding onto his sleeve as he stared at you at your sudden action. "W-wait! That's all? I thought you said you were gonna help me!"

"Exactly, I help you by encouraging you to break the rules. Now shoo, I have a hangout with my friends." He shoo'd you, turning the knob.

"Wait, aren't you supposed to be at that suitor lovey dovey match maker area?" You asked him, as he laughed.

"You're not the only rule breaker here, my dearest sister. Mother's gonna kill me but I'm really not going to waste my time getting all cozy with girls I don't know." He said, before turning to leave. What you didn't know was right when he shut the door behind him, he grinned widely.

You were finally back to yourself, you were no longer crying and sobbing in your room. With that, he happily hummed to himself, skipping away from your room.

You paced through your room, back and forth while repeating your speech of apology for your dear friend. "Hey kuni, I'm really sorry for yesterday and I hope you can forgive me." You sighed, "no.. that's way too weird, Hey Kuni, I apologize for everything, and I hope.. no..."
