The floor felt cold, Red Son's body skidding across the ground as she tried to get up to her knees. His body seemed to shake as it tried to stable itself, he eventually stopped herself. Clawing the floor with her hand she dug her nails into the dirt. She stared at the ground, breathing heavily, his heart pounding in his chest. She felt a shadow cast over her, making her body feel cold despite the heated battle that had been raging before his body decided to give out.
He looked up at the figure that was casting the shadow, about ready to throw one last punch before pausing and staring at who was standing above her. There stood her enemy, however, his face showed worry and concern rather than happiness from practically winning.
"Red Son, are you ok?"
MK asked, gripping at his staff anxiously.

Red Son groaned, pushing himself up onto her feet.
"I'm fine! Well- I'm not! Not after you've basically won..AGAIN!"
She spoke, raising her voice at MK. This was the 3rd time MK had bested him in a battle. and she was pissed over it, she felt her body heat up as if it were a cup being filled to the brim with hot tea, their hair bursting into flame.
MK stared at Red Son, he felt guilty for hurting her as he did not mean to in the first place, he looked away slightly and placed a hand on the back of his own neck
"I'm sorry Red Son, I didn't mean to hurt you this bad! I just-"
He didn't even get to finish his sentence before being interrupted by Red Son, lifting his head up and facing him.
"URGH! It's...it's fine. I can just burn the cuts shut, stop apologizing for it you MORON!"
She said, hair lighting up more.

MK smiled slightly, seeing as Red Son seemed to be back to being his usual self.
MK chuckled
"Well, I gotta go..you put up a good fight today, Red Son! You always do, if i'm being honest"
MK spoke, turning around and starting to walk away
"C'ya later, Red Son!"
He called before walking out of view, leaving Red Son alone.
Red son stood there, she felt..embarrassed and strangely flustered from what MK had said, but she didn't understand why. To her, there wasn't a reason to feel so flustered by such a simple compliment, especially from someone like MK.

He was just some guy holding a heavy staff while at the same time being Sun Wukong's successor.

Red Son himself was just a demon prince with pyrokenesis and several other powers that were deemed useless by their parents, why should she be affected by what some stupid mortal has to say about her and how powerful they are?

Maybe it was because she hadn't received a compliment from anyone in years or maybe it was because she hadn't seen anyone in many years. Until recently with the appearance of that noodle boy and the rest of his friends or maybe it was because..

Red Son pushed his thoughts aside, feeling her face hot, as if he had been up close to a campfire. She mumbled incoherently as flames started to circle around her in a funnel shape, making her disappear into thin air if you were looking from a far.

{🔥}

Red Son teleported into his room, small embers sparking but soon disappearing as they hit the ground, the prince fell back on his bed, seeming to not care if he was injured or not.

His bed felt slightly cold once his body first touched the sheets, but quickly warmed up as Red Son himself was warm as well. Their room felt cold as the AC blew cold air into the room, Red Son enjoyed the feeling, especially after a heated battle.

She stared up at the ceiling, the silence in the room almost deafening.
Red Son sat up once again, staring down at his hands before making them hold each other, she rubbed one of her thumbs over her other hand as she began to zone out.

He had to acknowledge these emotions one way or another, but she did not want to.

Why was it so difficult to admit something so simple, yet so complicated?

What are they afraid of?

Red Son felt his face become red as thoughts started to flood his mind, big waves of thoughts of a world that could become reality if she just admitted how she truly felt about that 'stupid' Noodle boy.

He felt somewhat trapped by herself.

She was trapping herself and their emotions out of fear of what could happen.
If he even dared to try and make the thoughts that ingulved his mind like a massive wildfire a reality.

She couldn't, it would be foolish of her to try.

As she kept holding her own hand, he began to cry. No words, no noise,
Just tears.
Her body felt cold, so much so that it made her freeze, her thoughts of this would be reality were soon washed away as waves of sadness replaced them.
Her hair was still compared to other times she cried, she felt a feeling in her throat and chest, one that was begging to be let free in the form of screaming and crying.
But her body refused to let it happen.

He was frozen. Completely still as sadness overwhelmed her. She began to think
'' I can't. It can't. It will never be a reality. I am a fool to think it could or would become a reality. Why can't I just accept that it will never happen instead of bitching and moaning over it!?''
She thought.

Nothing seemed to come out of her as tears stained her already bruised and cut up face. It stung slightly and she knew he had to stop and go clean themselves up.

But she was still frozen, sniffling and hiccuping as she tried to restrain herself from crying more.

Eventually the feeling in her throat and chest broke through, unfreezing her and making her immeaditaly hug onto a nearby pillow.

She cried onto it, pouring her emotions out as the tears stained the pillow case, she hugged onto it like her life depended on it. He wanted to be hugged back so bad but he couldn't be hugged back.

He was alone.

If only he could bring himself to admit how he feels. It would change his world. But would it be for the better? Or for the worse.

He doesn't know, nobody does. It doesn't help that his own family wouldn't help either.

As he cried, his hair began to spark, igniting into a small flame.
It waved back and forth as Red Son kept crying, there was no stopping him anytime soon. There was nobody could help her with how she felt. If he told anyone, they'd probably tell their parents and they wouldn't be so happy to her that their child has feelings for a mortal, especially if it's that stupid Noodle Boy.

Nobody could help him, not with this.

They're Helpless.
