chapter 1: Mammon's unpaid debt (fairly short)

Awoken by the sound of angry squabbling, I stumbled unwillingly out of bed and made my way towards the door, bleary-eyed. Because I was forced to part from my warm cacoon of blankets I opened the door with such force the squabbling stopped abrubtly.

Mammon and levi turned to face me with guiltily adorable looks on their faces, but i could not allow this to blind me from the sin they had commited. As I turned to scowl at both of them indivually, I demanded to know what this was about.

"He owes me money!!" levi shouted. "He begged me for some so he could blow it on some random stuff on akuzon!!"
"It wasnt just random stuff!!" mammon replied angrily.
"What was it then??" i asked quizzically. "Uhh.. Nothin much" he mumbled his cheeks going the same red as that of my pjs. I raised an eyebrow, and turned to levi. "Doesnt mean you can argue outside my room waking me up!!" I yelled.
"Sorry y/n.." They murmured in unison. "You are both forgiven, Mammon what was it you were buying anyways?" The way his cheeks went red when i mentioned it previously had peaked my curiosity.

The hallway went silent for an awkward second.

Mammon broke the silence, "Just a gift for you, nothin special!" Now it was my turn for my face to go red. I suddenly decided the floor was the most interesting thing in the world, staring at it as my face got progressively more tomato-coloured.
Still staring at the floor I muttered "Well you two should solve this soon.." Then i slammed the door.

hearing their footsteps leave, I turned to the mirror stood in the corner of my room and let out a silent scream. Why did mammon get me a gift?? Was it for valentines day? Why did my face go so embarassingly red when he mentioned it?! Pushing my feelings aside, i got ready for another surely chaotic day at the devildom.

Making my way to the dining room I adjusted my hair concious of how much my messy sleep schedule had affected my appearance. I took a seat at the table and asmo gave me a warm greeting while the others just murmured a sleepy 'morning'. Before i could even start eating levi and mammon started at each other again. "You will give me my money back right?" levi questioned "Sure sure," mammon responded in an unreasuring tone, this caused levi to lose his cool and more arguing ensued.

I sighed to myself and hurriedly finished my food, eager to escape the tension in the atmosphere. Taking my time as I walked down the corridor
I suddenly heard footsteps aproaching. Out of the blue, a hand grabbed me and i was pulled into a restrictively small closet. I tried to let out a scream but a hand clamped over my mouth and it was mammon's eyes that met mine. "What do u think you are doing," I hissed into his palm.   Removing his hand slowly, he explained how levi was so mad over his unpaid money that he had started to chase him in an uncontrolled state of rage.

"Yea, yea thats great and all but why did you have to hide me with you,' I whispered angrily. Of course i couldnt let him know i was glad for the darkness of the closet because it hid the redness that coated my face. "I-I dunno I did it without thinking," he murmered and though neither of us could see, in a breath-catching moment I felt his eyes focused on me almost intimately.

"Thats it!! You are going to solve this problem right now." I stepped out of the closet my hand pulling on his arm.
Levi stood out in the hallway and full of rage, met us as we stumbled out of the closet. "How much do u owe him?" I asked mammon, I then handed levi the specific amount of grimm.

"What.." Levi stared at me blankly. "You know you didnt have to do that y/n." mammon said half-frustrated. I paid no mind to their words and simply said "Im just tired of you two arguing try to get along more in the future," with a weary smile on my face. They both gazed at me with the most guilty expressions I have ever seen and unable to take it anymore i pulled the both of them in for a three- way hug. Though they didnt resist they simultaneously let out surprised noises. I walked away knowing that they'd probably only get into another fight within the next week.
