I know folks aren't comfortable with authors reflecting their personal feelings unto their works.
Now if there's one character I'd relate to, it's definitely our best guy Lukas Olafsson.Aside from being impulsive, he reminds me of how rare it is to find friends who aren't afraid to see your flaws. It actually takes time for people to get to know me and be considered close.
I don't like how others either disassociate from you or suggest you "act normal" just because they fail to understand something about you.
Similar to Lukas, I struggle to make close friends in fear that my neurotic personality and lack of maturity levels could affect our friendship. I would push others away so I don't burden them anymore and try facing things on my own. No more drama or fights. This was how I felt even in college.
To anyone who might have similar thoughts as I did, you are never alone. Always look for the right people who appreciate and support you.
