Jane: "Good afternoon, Brett"

This was not the voice of the two doctors that were in the room yesterday. This was a way softer voice and her aura could be perceived even under suppressants: she was an omega. Brett turned his head from the pile of pillows under his neck to look at her. She was walking in the room with the doctor that nearly killed him with a little plastic glass, maybe containing pills.

Jane: "How are you?"

Brett: "I had better moments...what is he doing here?"

He growled the last part of the question shifting his gaze from the girl to the male doctor

Jane: "I asked him to come. I knew you had a strong reaction to his pheromones and I wanted to investigate a little. Why don't you wait outside while I explain him?"

She asked Eddy with a soft smile. He knew they were playing with fire seen the reaction Brett had before, so if the man was calm, it was just for the better.

Jane: "As I said I knew you had a strong reaction to his pheromones yesterday, and this got me a little worried"

She started to explain, taking a seat near the bed

Jane: "I read in your file that it's five years that you don't have a heat is that correct?"

Brett: "Yes..."

Jane: "Personal choice? Or did a possible partner make you do it?"

Brett: "Personal choice"

Jane: "As I suspected...let me tell you that, as you may already know, this is not healthy. You should have at least a heat a year, or you risk to have complications during pregnancies or other physical reactions to suppressants on the long term, like thrombosis, cardiac arrest, internal haemorrhage...we were lucky when we found you because you recovered from the cardiac arrest quite soon, and you didn't have these other issues, but I cannot exclude that the arrest was caused by the enormous amount of suppressants. Every person in this hospital takes suppressants in order to be ready for an emergency. The doctors take the ones for their sensitivity when they know they have to deal with a certain type of patients, or a general pill when they are called for an emergency. The nurses too and the patients usually takes a general pill. The pill we give patients is usually stronger that the one we give doctors but given the fact that they have to deal with patients every day we don't wanna risk complications. They are always under control and they can ask for holidays when their hormonal levels aren't in the correct ranges. Given the situation you were in, I preferred cutting the suppressants and maybe book you a room in the designed wing of the hospital for when you'll have your heat. And I was pretty relaxed with this decision since the worst thing that could happen to you was wining a little when doctor Chen is around. But the reaction you had scared me a bit"

She shifted on the chair and took a quick look at the pills in the little glass

Jane: "I would have come yesterday, but I wanted to do some additional researches. These pills will block the effect of the suppressants you took yesterday. You know that a general suppressant can work for three days, I wanna block it and see how you react to doctor Chen and another orange alpha. Don't worry we don't need your nose to bleed again, so if you feel a strong reaction say it immediately and they'll both go away. I just need to understand if it's due to your condition or to maybe something else like the fact that it was years that you didn't smell an alpha etc."

Brett: "No..."

She had to stop one second to process

Jane: "Excuse me?"

Brett: "I said no...I don't wanna have something to do with an alpha. Isolate me, remove me my suppressants but let only omegas and betas take care of me. I had a strong reaction, it always happens...so let me be by myself and avoid running useless tests. I just wanna be alone..."
