Worst enemy to first love

Chapter 1

"UGH" I exclaimed as my alarm woke me up at 6:00 am, Leo was picking me up at 7:30 so I had an hour to get ready, I connected my phone to my Alexa and played music and got ready .

My first day of school fit was green cargo pants with a white tank top, a nice but basic fit.
"BEEP BEEP"
I take a look at my phone it's 7:40 and Leo has been waiting for me for the past 10 minutes.
I quickly run downstairs grab my house key say goodbye to my mom and head out the door.

"Could u be any more later" leo exclaims as I head into the car, I give him a quick hug then i put on my seatbelt as he starts the car.

***20 minutes later *****

We arrive at school at 8:05 CRAP we've missed the first 5 minutes of English I tell him, we both  grab our bags and run into class.

We ended up barging into the class, it was soooo awkward, everyone was looking at us, our new English teacher Ms. melody said to us " thank u guys for arriving right on time " with a smirk on her face.

I like her already.
Me and Leo walked  around looking for 2 free seats, all the seats were already taken so ms. Melody placed me to a seat beside this guy, he was brunette had  soft brown eyes.
He wasn't really smiling at me he looked more annoyed when I got put next to him.

" Hello students and welcome, I know it's the first day but I will be putting everyone in pairs to complete a class assignment. Ur partner will be whoever u are sitting with right now.
I turned to look at Leo who looked pretty annoyed  at this news, I then turned to the guy beside me " I guess that means we're partners " I say to him.
He just looks at me with this pitiful stare, he doesn't even say anything he just looks at me. It's obvious he doesn't like me and I don't like him either..it's takes nothing to me kind to people.

Ms. Melody continues to tell us exactly what the assignment is.
"With your partner you will be exploring the unknown places of Chicago, the hidden and mysterious meaning of places and the significance it means to people.
each pair will be given a diary and video camera to document each visit and each couple must visit at least 5 different places"

Just then The bell for next class rings, I quickly shot up and grabbed my bag, I meet leo outside class.

"It's such a shame we aren't together I really wanted to be with you, the guy I'm with is such an asshole.

I really wanted to be with you too he tells me, I smile and he smiles back.

The rest of the lessons we're boring and dull I was looking forward to just going home and taking a long nap after school.
Leo dropped me at home and after school I headed straight up to my room to finish some assignments I had today.
I was done by 9:00 and had a shower and headed to bed for an uneventful day tomorrow.
