Marcy POV:

I stared at Anne and Sasha, and we all nodded at each other. I squeezed Anne's hand and stepped through the portal. Suddenly the brightest light I'd ever seen flashed, and my eyes squeezed shut automatically.

After about 5 minutes I finally opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was the blue sky and skyscrapers.. Wait, skyscrapers?

My head snapped to Anne and Sasha and saw that their eyes were still shut, so much so that it looked painful.

'We're HOMEEE!" I shouted, and their eyes snapped open.

"OH MY GOD!" Sasha and Anne screamed giddily as they pulled me into a hug.

I looked over at Sasha and noticed the tears in her eyes. I almost asked what was wrong, but then I remembered that she hadn't been home for a year (other than for a tiny bit to like, save the world) because of me. The guilt hit me like the Shanghai Maglev (the fastest train in the world that moves at 460 km/ph).

"I'm.. so sorry for everything guys.." I said, doubting that they could forgive me again.

"Marce! I thought we were over this! It's fine, really." Sasha said, squeezing my hand.

My face heated up, but I quickly looked down so they wouldn't notice. Sasha's hand was just so soft and comforting, I couldn't help but feel flustered. No other reason..

"So, where do we go first?" Anne asked, her face full of excitement. That's one of the cutest faces she makes.

That's when I remembered that my parents and I were supposed to move away nearly a year ago. I asked myself, what's to say they didn't forget me already?

"C-can we go to my house? I want to see if.. you know.." I asked, nervous to find out if my parents had waited for me.

"Yeah, let's go!" Anne said, taking me and Sasha's hands. Blush rose to my cheeks again, and I tried to look away, but it wasn't fast enough.

Sasha's eyes locked on mine, and she smiled, the type of smile like she knew something was up. Oh no, does she think I have a crush on Anne? It's not like I'm gay or something, right- Oh god- I quickly shook my head, and that's when Anne looked over at me.

"You okay Marbles?" She asked, smiling adorably. As if nothing could make my blush worse, Sasha laughed uncontrollably, and let me tell you, if you've never heard it, it's the most beautiful sounds to exist.

Anne raised her eyebrows and asked, "Guys, what's going on?"

"Nothing!" I shouted back, my voice quivering with worry that she was secretly a mind reader or something and could hear my thoughts about how cute she was.

Anne sighed. "I though we said we wouldn't lie to each other anymore."

"Fine- I.. just- I just don't want to talk about it.." I quickly said.

"Alright.." Anne replied with the softest tone of disappointment.

After about 2 minutes of silence, Sasha commented, "Wow, even after all this time, I still remember the way to your house Marce."

Anne laughed as she seemed to break out of her cold state, "I know. I guess coming here almost every week for 5 years will make you remember it."

Suddenly I heard a person scream, and all our heads snapped to where the sound seemed to be coming from.

2 people were taking pictures of us! A cloudy memory resurfaced, and I realized they were on the St. James newsletter team.

"It's the frog girls!" the girl shouted before they ran away.

"Seriously! It's been 5 minutes since we got here and this happened again!" Anne muttered, sounding exhausted.

"Let's walk a bit faster.." Sasha whispered.

We all silently agreed, as I assumed many people in this neighborhood had heard about us going missing, then one reappearing only to disappear again.

Then I spotted it. My old house. For the first time in a year.

"Oh my god." I muttered, and ran up to it.

I knocked on the door rapidly, adrenaline kicking in as I prayed that my parents hadn't left me.

Nobody opened the door.

I slowly turned around to face Sasha and Anne, tears clouding my vision.

Suddenly their faces lit up.

"Huh?" I muttered, and turned around to see what they were looking at.

It was my mother. They waited for me after all.

"MARCY!" she screamed.
