Kaydon was at the register counting the money he made so far while the radio was playing the rolling stones. He let his friend Erika put the song on which Kaydon was kinda regretting but then again it was better then her putting on another Blondie song.
While he put the money back into the register he saw a man with 2 kids enter the shop. The man looked uneasy and because of the area Kaydon lived in and since the man had a cane in his hand he decided that this man was probably targeted by a neos or something since that was very common.
Kaydon called over a worker to work the register while he checked up on the man but at that moment a tall blonde man walked in and immediately had his attention on the man and his kids. Didn't take long for Kaydon to figure out what the man was being followed so Kaydon decided to call for Erika.
"Hey Erika can you help out a guy and his kids?" "Why I'm on break-" "I think a "red" is following him and his kids." Erika put out her cigarette and went out with Kaydon "I'm gonna talk to the "red"." Kaydon walked up to the man and put on his best customer service act up "Hello there sir. Is there anything I can help you find?" The man took a moment and answered "Do you have any uhh red jackets." "Oh yes it's over here." Kaydon brought the man over while Erika helped the man and kids leave while Kaydon showed off the jackets.
The man eventually left after buying a wine red jacket and he was on his way.
After that his and Erikas shift was just normal boring work. Kaydon walked back to his apartment when he felt an arm wrap around him and he felt a pinch in the arm "What the fuck-" The person kicked his ankle making him fall to his knee. Kaydon had obviously been drugged and he was completely out of it. He only remembered being brought to his apartment and them falling up the stairs and hearing a woman scream at someone to leave.
Kaydon then woke up on his floor in his work clothes with a queen song playing on his record player. Kaydon was still kind of out of it but now he has memory and appropriately his response to all of this was "What?"
