Jungkook slid himself under the covers getting himself comfortable as he waited for Taehyung to join him. He fully relaxed into the silk sheets and felt a deep breath leave his lips. His mind wondered over to the elder. He still had no idea what happened for the elder to be like the way he is, and he could tell it meant a big deal to him.Of course Jungkook wasn't going to pressure him. How could he, everyone has their deepest darkest secrets, and finally speaking up about them to someone is draining. So Jungkook was going to make sure that he had enough comfort as possible.
His mind then trickled away to Taehyung and himself. They both admitted they liked each other, so what...were they boyfriends now. He didn't know what they were. But it didn't stress him out. The no label to it was nice just as much as labels, labels weren't a need at moment. Just knowing they have each other and can share their feeling with one another is enough.
"What are you thinking about so deeply?" Taehyung asked as he walked into the room after he had brushed his teeth.
He was only wearing black jogger shorts, which made Jungkook's cheeks go a bright shade of pink. His tattoos were the hottest things he has ever seen, of course along with his body. Every scar he had was beautiful. Everything, he was beautiful.
"Staring are we?" Tae cocked an eyebrow towards the boy.
"You're beautiful" Jungkook mumbled out.
"No you are sweetheart, but thank you"Taehyung slipped under the duvet next to Jungkook and snuggled down comfortably. The two laid side by side facing each other.
"So"
"So" Jungkook repeated, studying the elders face.
"Where do I start?" Taehyung scoffed.
"Wherever you want to start, whenever you want to start. I'm all ears" Jungkook pecked the elders forehead and caressed his cheek.Taehyung sighed and shut his eyes tight before composing himself.
"My father and little sister died in a car accident a few years back and it was all my fault. I went to a party one night, it was just them classic drink, get high parties, nothing special. I had a lot of drinks and I had some kind of drugs which was being shared around. The police ended up getting called and we all had to get picked up or drive home. I should have just walked" Taehyung swiped his tongue over his dry lips, wetting them as a distraction."Some people who were very drunk, drove home which obviously they shouldn't have. My dad wanted to come pick me up so I would be safe and of course my little sister wanted to go. She loved late night car journeys even if it is supposed to be her bed time"
"So they came to pick me up, but on the way to the house the party was at, a lot of the people at the party was driving home and one of them was speeding down the road and took a turn into my dads car. It went straight into the side wear Luna was sat, she died instantly, whereas my dad died in hospital 6 hours later from internal bleeding"
Jungkook's heart dropped, and his stomach sunk. He bit the inside of his cheek as he listened to Tae's story. It was heart wrenching. Jungkook looked into the boys eyes and noticed a small tear escape his eye, as it fell from the corner and run over his nose to the other side of the cheek as he was laid on his side.
Jungkook didn't make an effort to remove it. He wasn't going to wipe away raw emotions, so instead he embraced him. Jungkook held both sides of the elders head and pressed small kisses around the boys face.
"It's all my fault; they shouldn't have come. I should have said that I could walk. Then I wouldn't have killed my whole family. My mother died 3 months later, she couldn't deal with the loss and ended it all. I was left all alone, I had everything. I loved my family, my little sister was my world. But the longer it's getting the more worried I am about forgetting what her voice sounds like, if I didn't have photos of her I would lose the image of her. She was so young and sweet and you would have loved everything about her. I miss her so much. Every dream I have turns into a nightmare, just when I can see her again she slips through my fingers. I just want to see her again"
Tears pooled out of his eyes, uncontrollably flowing over his cheeks.
"I miss them all so much" Taehyung sobbed.
Jungkook quickly pulled him into his embrace, running his fingers through the elders hair. Taehyung pushed his face into Jungkook's chest, feeling so fragile and vulnerable. But he didn't care, he needed this. He hadn't told his story for all these years."You're not alone angel" Jungkook mumbled. "You've got me now. I know it's not the same, and I'll never be able to fill that void. But I'm here, I'll always be here for you" Jungkook slowly pressed his lips onto the elders.
They took it slow, it wasn't heated or sexual, it was a sign of appreciation and trust. The building of a new bond.Jungkook could taste the salt which lingered on Tae's lips from his tears, trying his best to make sure that they could taste the cherry lip balm he put on earlier instead.
They pulled away slowly, opening their eyes and just stared at one another with their faces only inches away. They laid their peacefully, the faint sound of the wind hitting the windows along with quiet sniffs from Taehyung as he calmed down."Can you tell me about her?" Jungkook asked, caressing the elders face.
Taehyung nodded with a smile and shuffled closer. He urged the younger to turn around so Taehyung could hug him closely. Jungkook let him do what he wants, he trusted him so if this was what he wanted, of course he would let him.Taehyung had his arms securely around the younger's waist while his face was buried in the younger's hair taking in the fruity smell.
"She was the best little sister any brother could have. Kind, caring, sweet, cheeky, playful, loyal, just the perfect little girl. She loved just spending time as a family, we'd do everything together even if it was just walking to the corner shop, she would always come along. She tried her best in making everyone around her happy. When I was being a moody teenager she would always tell me off"Jungkook listened as Taehyung replayed all of the memories he had of her. He himself had a small smile on his face as he listened to the reminiscing. He thought back to himself wishing that his family was the same, he wished he had a family which loved him and cared for him. No matter how hard he tried he could never make his parents proud, he was always a disgrace in their eyes.
"She would have loved you"
Jungkook heard as he came out of his trance.
"Really?" Jungkook muttered softly.
"Absolutely" Taehyung snuggled into him more. "She would have loved how pretty you are, how kind you are, how you always make sure I'm okay and comfort me when I'm not""I would have loved her too" Jungkook whispered softly before turning around. "Now come on you must be exhausted, let me cuddle you" Jungkook turned around and looped his arms around the boys stomach.
They both laid in each other's arms, with the warmth of each other surrounding them. Taehyung felt lighter now that the thing which had been haunting him for so long was said. It felt nice to know someone really truly cared for him.
"Let me be your protection tonight" Jungkook whispered as he cuddled himself into the elders back making it so he was spooning him. Taehyung never thought he would be the one being spooned. He always saw himself as being the protector not the protected.
But Jungkook showed the opposite, he showed that your weakness is also your strength and no matter what , you can be both protected and protective.
That night Taehyung fell asleep in Jungkook's arms peacefully, with no disruptions through the night.
