You return home to Asgard after breaking the remaining avengers out of the craft. Even though you were mad at Steve, he was right this had nothing to do with them, and you helped them. With the help of Nick you gave Wanda and vision a chance to start over somewhere safe. Clint could finally retire. Natasha was long gone, you had no idea where she went, you just hoped you'd see her again someday. But Tony was probably the hardest to leave behind, after everything you had shared together, leaving and knowing you couldn't come back.. it hurt. Yet with a target around your neck it was obvious Midgard no longer was your home, as much as you wanted it to be.

You lay with your head buried on Lokis chest, he was humming a song to you while stroking your hair. Even after your little rescue mission, you still couldn't get him out of your mind. The man you used to love.. who claimed to love you betrayed you, lied to you for years.

"My darling you need to sleep" Loki whispers as he strokes your cheek. "Your pretty little head shouldn't be wasted on him"

"It's not really something I control" you scoff.

Loki cups your jaw softly, forcing you to look up at him. He smiles before leaning over you kissing your lips gently.

"Guess I can" he chuckles satisfied. "Such dirty little thoughts" he whispers.

"You're annoying you know that?" You sigh with a subtle smile.

"Oh I'm annoying? Right" he nods his head slowly. "You love me"

"I can love you and still find you annoying"

"Watch your mouth little one.." loki tsks.

"Or what?" You tease, sitting up and looking up at him.

"Or nothing.." Loki sighs.

"What?" You exclaim disappointed.

"I can hear you thoughts louder than my own y/n" Loki says quietly. Pulling you closer towards him. "You can't hide from me anymore y/n.. you let me in and I want to respect your privacy, but I can't ignore your thoughts"

"Right.. it's really nothing Loki it's just thoughts" you stammer.

"Then tell me.. If they mean nothing just say them out loud"

"Fine" you scoff. "I..I don't want-" you stop yourself.

Loki raises an eyebrow waiting for you to end your sentence.

"Im sacred" you say quietly.. "is that what you wanna hear?" You hiss.

Loki shakes his head as he once again pulls you closer. "No" he answers.. "I want you be to be happy.."

"I am.. really I am" you assure him. "I'm just scared of the future" you admit. "We've been pretending like I'm not still stuck in time.. I just wanna be able to grow old with you.. start a family, watch them grow old while we-" you trail off.

"I know" Loki sighs.. "but it's not gonna be a Problem for at least another century"

"Maybe not for you.. I just can't loose you again" you whimper. "I won't survive that-"

"Don't say that!" Loki says loudly. "Look at me!" He demands. "If something happens to me you'll be fine.. you have to"

"You're scaring me.. why are you saying that?" You question nervously. He had been acting strange ever since you got home..

"It's nothing alright. I just want you to promise me, when something-" he stops himself for a moment. "If something happens to me, you'll live your life. Don't pause it" he corrects himself.

"I can't promise that" you sigh, looking up at his dark emerald eyes.

Loki takes out something from his pocket. "Close your eyes" he whispers. You do as he says when you feel his hand slightly gracing over your neck. "Alright open them"
