"Yes, I guess this is a temporary situation" I said on the phone with my dad "are you sure this is the right decision for you?" He asked as he drove to work. "Yes I-" I was about to say before he cut me off "then it's settled, I'll come down there sometime next week and get situated. I'll see you then, little flower" he hung up the phone.
I turned on my side, looking over at the time.
12:15 AM
The door opened and closed quietly. "Where you been?" I asked softly taking in the weed and heavy liquor smell. "Rah you only fifteen, you need to slow yo roll down." I rolled my eyes.
He sat down on the chair at his desk staring at me. His eyes were glossy, and red. "Do you think before you speak?" He started talking in a certain tone throwing me off.
"Why is you talking like dat?" I raised my eyebrow "do you? Why are you here?" He ignored my question.
"What?" I scrunched my face up in confusion. "Why the fuck you here?" He pressed flaring his nose up at me.
"I'm too young to drink and smoke but I'm old enough to have a kid?" He scoffed, laughing as he got up and walked to the closet.
"Get fucking real" he shook his head. "I know you ain't forreal" I laughed. "Ain't talk to my sister since Christmas, yo ass." He said getting in my face "my momma getting in fights having to whoop yo momma ass" he finished staring dead into my eyes.
"You cheated on me?" He asked holding my waist. I scoffed, staring at him for a while before I walked out of the room and down the hall.
I stopped in front of the door before knocking.
"Who is it?" She huffed, "Somyari" my voice cracked a little. She opened the door with a half smile "you can come in" she opened the door wider "no it's ok-" "girl get yo ass in here" she cursed making me walk in.
"I'm so sorry, I just asked why you open your gifts on Christmas but I should've just stopped being nosy" I blurted out just as she closed the door. She laughed "you are not the one who should be apologizing to me" she smiled sitting down next to me. "You're supposed to have a certain bond as siblings, that's something only a few people know and for him to share that" she said "with you without asking me first really made me realize something that day" she spoke softly smiling.
"I went out yesterday and I got something for you" she said walking to her closet, she was in there for about five minutes before she came out of the closet with a big box "when we were in the shop the other day I saw you looking at this." She smiled sitting down on the floor.
"Yes, it was so nice in there who shop was it anyway?" I asked as I opened the box. It was a silk and lace robe, a nice ivory tone.
I felt like it would look so nice on my skin, but with having a new baby and my momma kicking me out I knew I wouldn't be able to get it. "consider it an early happy birthday" she smiled making me laugh.
"Thank you so much" I said back, my cheeks started to hurt from smiling so much. "You can wear this for a maternity shoot, or on your birthday, or on his birthday" she winked at me making me blush.
"You a long way from blushing" she shook her head laughing at me. "Alright now" I laughed back.
Time was flying and before I knew it, the clock said 4AM, we both were yawning and I was tired hours ago. "Bless can I sleep in here?" I asked playing with my fingers "bed big enough, you like to sleep in silence or with some noise?" She asked before she turned the lights off "I like tv" I responded shyly "okay good" she turned her tv on before turning the lights off.
