I curled up next to my dog Roy and stared at the wall. Today has been such a long day. And running track really isn't good for my legs. Today made a new record six miles in twenty two minutes. I reached for my phone off my nightstand and turned it on. The screen read only five new messages so I opened my inbox and checked them
- Haley: "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL DAY?!"
- Haley: "commmme backkkk"
- Haley: "if your dead please reply..."
- Haley: ":( I'm all alone."
- Zayn: " hey love, I missed you!"
Ok so maybe The Haley annual phone bombing was kind of expected... But Zayn was completely unexpected. So I ignored it realizing it was most likely a drunk text. So anyways I dialed up Haley so she would stop worrying so much. "Hey Haley!" I screamed into the mic. "Tara! Where in the world have you been so many things happened today!" She screamed back. Crazy thing is nothing happens at Pine Hill High School like ever. So this came as a shocker. "What all happened?" I questioned. "Only the hottest guy ever Tara! He's a new kid his name is Z-za...." She spoke. "Za who?!!" I said but quickly realized my phone died. "We'll I guess we will see tomorrow wont we Roy?" I spoke in a puppy dog voice watching his ears perk up. He barked at me and then quieted down and crawled into his dog bed. I sighed and walked to the shower to relive my aching pain in my back. All of a sudden I heard a knock I'm hallucinating ain't I? I finished my nice hot shower and pulled a towel onto my body and checked the windows. A note was hanging from the window sill with "Tara." Written in beautiful cursive letters.

Well this day keeps getting crazier and crazier! I think I'm loosing it... I tucked the letter into one of my drawers and changed into a fresh set of footsie pajamas. I wonder who could like me. I mean I never have had a boyfriend even at age 17 I've always been forever alone. It's kind of reasonable though because I've never been the prettiest nor the most successful. This guy had to be ridiculously hideous to like me.
I decided to crawl into my bed slipping earbuds in my ear I put on paramore and fell asleep.
"TARA YOU ARE LATE AGAIN!" my mother screamed at me. I swear she hates me with a passion...
I quickly went through my morning routine. Afterwards changing into a denim jacket and black tights and a pair of sparkly blue uggs. I ran down stairs dodging left over alcohol from my parents party the night before. I ran out the door into the crisp air of a thing called January. Starting up the car I heard a door slam next door. To my surprise it was Zayn. HOLY CRAP IT WAS ZAYN! I dropped everything and ran to him. "ZAYN!? Is that you?!" I poked his cheek. "The one and only!" He smirked and wrapped me in his strong arms. He smelt so good...the aroma so over whelming I didn't even here the next sentence he said. "Tara? Tarrraaaa tara bear???" He said. "Um yeah?" I said still lost in his scent. "We're gonna be late for school love." He carried me to my car and smiled down at me. "Be good at school ok Tara bear?" He teased. "Hey don't call me 'Tarabear' that was like 10 years ago!" I giggled. "Hey I do what I want." He smirked waving as I drove away.
At school I was greeted by Haley my best friend and probably only girl friend. "Tara! What happened last night? you hung up on me." Her ever so hyper eyes were staring at me. "My phone died!" I have her a duhhh look. "Ohhh ok." She was looking off in the distance at somthing. "Whatcha looking at?" I asked. "New guyyyy." She said casually with drool daring to fall. I looked at the new guy and froze. "No way..." I mumbled.
